I stayed at this hotel in Oct 2006. It certainly deserves more stars then what is listed on this website. I believe that it actually rated 2 or 3 stars. The hotel is suitable for a short stay. The rooms are small but I believe that is standard in Paris. The continental breakfast was very nice and (to my surprise) I was not charged extra for it. My room was situated on a small courtyard and was very pleasant. I do think that some aspects of the room are showing wear and tear and could use a few upgrades. This would include the carpet and also the lock on the door. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro and about a 15 minute walk from the Arc de Triophe. I did feel the neighbourhood was safe and as a single women travelling alone I was confortable walking in the area at night. One downside was that the hotel forgot a wakeup call I had requested. Luckily I woke up on my own so no harm was done. Otherwise, the hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel provided good value for the price, but if you plan to spend a lot of time in the room (and why would you in Paris???) then perhaps look for something more luxurious.
