Lovely Hotel!

We had a great city break in Rome and it was made even better by this beautiful hotel. Very spacious marble lobby with period features. Our room was on the 4th Floor and overlooked the opera house and a lot of Rome. It even had a balcony. Very spacious with a wooden floor. It was a perfect romantic setting for my girlfriend and I. Breakfast was basic continental but wholesome. Overall a great hotel at a great price right next to the central railway station, retaurants, cafes and bars. The metro station was only 2mins around the corner.

Great location as the hotel is only a few mins away from the main train station and bus stop. The terravision bus (airport bus link) stops only 5 mins away. The area where the hotel is very safe. The other side of the termini station didnt look and feel that safe. The hotel in general was clean and safe and the staff friendly. However, this is a budjet hotel and the breakfast was very limited.

My stay at the Hotel Impero was an overall great experience. The hotel is located downtown near lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The rooms are a nice size, including the bathroom and are very clean. Though the hotel doesn't have a very attractive outward appearance, it is very clean and has a decent interior. Public transportation is nearby in a suitable walking distance. The area appeared to be a safe area with plenty of lighting after dark.

Disappointing

We were very disappointed. First, we had a room on the first floor, but because the ventilator and the toilet seat were broken we got another room on the fourth floor. This room was smaller. It was clean and daily maintained well. Or TV and airco did not work, but that was not a big problem because we were all day out. The beds were excellent , but every night at around 3 o'clock were heard a loud noise of a shower ! The breakfast was poor (cheese in plastic bags, boiled eggs) and we drunk the worst Italian coffee ever. Desk personel was very helpful and English speaking. Location is good. I think you can find better hotels for this price.
