The whole experience at La Siesta was great! we paid for a superior room and it was well worth it! the spa facilities were great for an hour everyday was lovely. The room was big and cleaned everyday we had a shower room which was great. we stayed in room 002 which was a brilliant spot to have. Yes, food was ok but what do people expect? it's 'spanish, it 's on a large scale, but the service is quck and friendly.
the only thing that we wasnt over keen on was the drinks and food at the pool side bar and in the evening are put onto a room tab which you can either pay for eveyday or at the end but they are quite expensive so its worth going over the road to the supermarket for drinks as they are quite cheap.
All in all a fantastic holiday and will definatley be going back again next year!!!!

just got home from one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. rooms cleaned to very high standard and although the surrounding pool area not up to the same standard, the saltwater pool itself was crystal clear. staff very friendly (as are all the local restaraunt/shop owners) and always made a big fuss over our 3 yr old son. our only reservations would be food, although there was a good choice it was the SAME choices every day and going to dinner everyday with the same smells in the air was very off putting. this was never a problem though as the MANY nearby restaraunts were equally as friendly, most with very good food.

overbookings at La Siesta
Guest name: Jakarta, uk
We booked for the Hotel La Siesta in January of this year. The day before we were due to arrive there I received an e-mail to say they were overbooked ! We were given the Hotel Gala instead . We found out that this seems to be a regular occurance at this hotel. I did ask for an explanation at the La siesta and they told me that they had overbooked by 40 people for that day of arrival (which was 30th June)and they had to move all those holiday makers to other hotels!!
It had been going on for weeks and not just our day of arrival. All week (on different days) people were arriving at the Hotel Gala who had been transferred from La Siesta - due to the hotel being overbooked !! There were 8 of us in our party and the holiday was for a special occasion. As it happened the Hotel Gala was quite nice and the pool was much better than the la siesta (when we visited the La Siesta one day you couldnt even swim in the pool it was that overcrowded - people were just stood in the pool and the sun terraces were overcrowded too. After saying that the hotel was nice and we had a nice free BBQ there with free drinks to compensate us for their error - along with a lot of other english people who were in the same boat.
You need to get your act together La Siesta, this should not be acceptable from a 4 star Hotel to keep overbooking guests !! ok so you can make a mistake but from what we found out it is happening week after week.
I would think twice before making a reservation at this hotel again. we were very upset about it and there was no excuse to leave it until the very last minute to inform us of the overbooking.

We stayed here July 4th for a week half board.Hotel clean rooms spacious,Meals not great sometimes long wait for food as a lot of guests arrived for dinner at the same time.As there is no BEACH near, most guests use hotel pool,WE HAD TO GET UP AT 6AM EVERY MORNING TO RESERVE SUN BEDS WITH SHADE FOR OUR GRAND-DAUGHTER.Some of the sunbeds were taken from about 4AM.Also no room between the sunbeds you could hardly move.

Been home for a while now but thought i would review my stay.
La Siesta was a beautifull Hotel, really clean and welcoming.
the staff were really friendly and accomodating.
Pool area was great and again very clean.
Breakfast was good, we stayed for dinner in the hotel 2 nights, first was a special BBQ laid on by the hotel, that was really good.
and the other night was just the normal dinner, not much choice but food was good all the same.
i would definetely stay there again, well worth its 4 star rating
