Abbiamo passato 3 notti in questo tranquillo hotel, la camera era pulita, il bagno idem (solo che non aveva la finestra), inoltre la posizione e' strategica: fermata del bus proprio davanti per Capri, la grotta azzurra e il faro, e centro di Anacapri a pochi passi! L'unica cosa da segnalare semmai e' la colazione non particolarmente abbondante (non come quelle internazionali!!). Ma ve lo consiglio anche per l'ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo.

Reception area good, room we were assigned sank of damp and mould. The hotel is on a very busy main road and has constant traffic passing from around 6am until 4am the next day. The hotel is more of a Bed and breakfast and the staff are not helpful and not that friendly apart from the mangeress who can't speak much english but smiles alot! The hotel is not worth over £100 per night and I would recommend you find a cheap Bed and Breakfast as the facilities on offer were very limited for the money you pay.

We stayed at the La Bougainville in early June 2004 and found it a pleasant hotel, which is run by a very friendly family. It is a 3 star hotel, so therefore not the top end of the market, but the rooms are a good size and clean, with a small balcony. The only problem we had was the street noise. Cars and especially motorbikes roar up and down the main road continuously (including all night), ten metres from the hotel. We stayed there for two nights, but if it had been for longer, we definitely would have changed hotels. We saw a hotel (Biancamarie) a few streets over in the centre of Anacapri which looked nice and was in a good location amongst the shops and eateries and walkways. I would definitely stay in Anacapri again: it has a nice friendly village atmosphere.

A small family-run Hotel in Anacapri. Rooms are quite basic, but air-conditioned. The breakfast includes the most amazing chocolate-filled croissants freshly made on the premises. Our room had a problem with the drainage in the shower, which was fixed after we had asked twice, however when we returned to the Hotel on the night on which it was fixed, the owner had left the key in the lock on the outside of the door. Luckily nobody had taken advantage and taken anything from the room. The hotel looks onto the main road, so some rooms can be noisy. Directions - Get the Anacapri bus from Capri town, the closest stop is 2 stops after the Anacapri Central stop, ring the bell after you pass the big blue Parking signs on the left. Once off the bus, walk in the same direction as you have been travelling on the bus and the hotel is on the left hand side.
