Functional hotel close to Porta Nuova train station. Good value for money. Common areas are quite new and nice, but rooms are a bit more old fashioned. Really nice staff. Das Hotel liegt südlich des Hauptbahnhofs Porta Nuova im Zentrum von Turin. Die Gegend ist als Bahnhofsviertel etwas unangenehm, aber keineswegs so problematisch wie z.B. die Piazza Garibaldi in Napoli oder das Frankfurter Bahnhofsviertel. Ich habe auch nachts, alleine, zu Fuss keine Probleme gehabt. Fast alle für Touristen interessante Gegenden in Turin kann man gut zu Fuss erreichen (z.B. Mueso Egizio 15 Minuten, Duomo di San Giovanni Battista 25 Minuten, Mueso de la Sindone 30 Minuten) . Das Hotel ist in einem guten Zustand, das Personal war immer freundlich und sprach gut Englisch, eine Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption sprach sogar Deutsch. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, besonders positiv ist mir die sehr gut funktionierende Dusche aufgefallen. Negativ war lediglich die viel zu weiche Matratze und die zwar schön designte, aber objektiv unzureichende Beleuchtung des Zimmers. Das Frühstück war fuer italienische Verhaeltnisse umfangreich, es wurde wesentlich mehr als "caffe e cornetto" geboten. Fuer die erbrachte Leistung habe ich einen günstigen Preis gezahlt.
