Johanna,
Wanted to extend my appreciation to you for my recent stay at your wonderful hotel. I was on holiday with Trafalgar tours and we had the opportunity to spend 2 nights with you. Telly Puuri and Vincenzo from Trafalgar said you had a beautiful hotel and they were right! I found your hotel to be warm, friendly, clean and the views from the 4th floor were breath-taking! Just walking around the hotel was a pleasure.
Every person I met at your hotel was gracious to me. Even asking for some extra towels was not a burden for your staff. It's those personal touches you give that make a person feel like they are the only one staying with you. And, Nino...what can I say. Always made me feel welcome every time I seen him. Amaretto with a smile! The lasagna at dinner was out of this world. And the breakfast buffet was one of the best on the tour.
Again, "Thank you" for such a pleasant stay...I'll be seeing you again in the future!
Sincerely,
Jo Merrill

This was a wonderful hotel. Johanna and her staff went above and beyond our expectations and tried to be as accommodating as possible. We were concerned about bringing our laptop on our trip for safety reasons - but there was a computer available for free in the lobby. We traveled with our two elementary school aged children and they did not want to leave there! There was even a very small playground for our children to play on. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was great (not a full American breakfast but more than you'd find at many European hotels). The shuttle to the downtown area (a short ride) the hotel provided was super - we didn't even have to move our car except to drive along the Amalfi Coast. The only problem we had was finding the hotel. Our GPS did not give us great directions (not sure why). The hotel is on the main road (SS145, I believe) and you DO NOT have to take incredibly narrow roads to get there. The problem was with the GPS, not the hotel. This portion of our trip to Italy was the best. We also went to Capri and Pompeii. Sorrento was a good central location for this.

Johanna Park was our favorite hotel on our trip to Italy. The owner went above and beyond to make us feel like guests in her home. This small hotel is above the city, so it is very quiet and relaxed with great views. They offer a regular shuttle service to Sorrento, and will also pick you up at the train if you call. The bus to Amalfi goes right by the hotel as well, and you can buy your tickets from Johanna and catch it right out in front. ("when the bus-a come by, you throw up-a you hands!") The staff (all members of the family, I think) was friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was delicious, with a large buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit from the garden.
Free internet, decent water pressure, comfy beds.
