Let's just say that we lasted only 3hours at this hotel, hotel very clean but in the middle of nowhere, pool, well splashpool constantly in the shade, and it closes in the afternoon, sun terrace runs parallel with busy road bit like the M25.
We finally got a cab just outside bit like spaghetti junction (very dangerous) went to Benidorm and our holiday started there.

The hotel is situated on quite a steep hill along a main road but only a couple of minutes from the clean beach. There is also a good shopping mall just a five minute walk away, again up a hill. A good tram link is located across the road which can take you to other beaches up the coast and into Benidorm if you wish! It's a pleasant 10 to 15 minutes walk into the main part of town where there are plenty of nice restaurants and a lovely port and a nice wide promenade along the sea front.
I found the hotel to be very clean and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was typical for a hotel of this standard and quite sufficient. The walls in the hotel are a bit thin but i didn't have any problems. Found the room a little warm even though i had the air conditioning turned up and it was on the cool side weather wise, so i did wonder what this may be like in the height of the season!
The hotel pool wasn't open as it only opens in high season from june onwards, but it did not state this on its web site and this was one of the attractions for me, but with the beach just across the road this wasn't a problem.
Overall i found this hotel to be comfortable and clean and very good for a short stay in this area, and very good value for money.
I would advise travellers to keep a close eye on their posessions as i had my purse stolen on first day in this resort whilst browsing around the main shops.

We have just returned from a 5 night break at the Kris Hotel. Overall the stay was comfortable; the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff extremely helpful and the breakfast on par with what you'd expect for what we paid.
About a 5 minute walk or 10 minute stroll down to the beach (very clean), the hill was not too much of a struggle for anyone able bodied and was not as bad as I'd been lead to believe by reviews i'd read.
Disappointed by the fact that the swimming pool was not open (one of the things that made me book this particular hotel) and the walls. Do not go to this hotel if you are a light sleeper. You could hear absolutely everything going on in the rooms next door. We were woken twice by amorous couples - they may as well have been in our room, very embarrassing. I can't blame the hotel as to me it was a lack of respect from fellow guests.
Had a day trip to Benidorm on the local tram - very good value and at last we had found some life. Alicante itself was fairly dull. Apart from, the castle, shopping at the Plaza Mar 2 (very good shops and supermarket) and the beach there were very few bars or restaurants and a lot of shut up ones. We struggled in the evenings.
