Just returned from a coach holiday at the Claremont Hotel Eastbourne.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful ,in this clean and tidy hotel.
The food and service was excellent and we would certainly return there again.

what a horrible hotel yet it looks so nice from the outside, on entering the hotel the reception area appears to be very dated. our room was poorly decorated, ie full of mismatched colours and decoration and it was done to a very poor standard and it was dirty looking. there was a fridge in the room but it was so noisy that it had to be unplugged to allow us to sleep properly. the bathroom was no better, the tiles on the floor were poorly fitted the walls were covered by some kind of laminated hardboard. the sealent round the bath was black in some areas. the bath taps were the wrong way round, ie the hot taps gave us cold water and the cold gave us hot the extractor fan worked but appeared to work not very well. the heated towel rail had an earth wire which was not attatched to it. we didnt try the breakfast as the dining room was very offputting no staff were
visible to greet and seat us and the only tables around seated 10 plus
and we reaqlly didnt want to sit with a large group of other people. a
real shame as the hotel appeared to be so nice from the outside.

Room was very poor and not clean. Kettle had mould inside. No water pressure so toilet blocked. Breakfast was awful seated at dirty table which was not cleaned before our poor breakfast was served. Whilst out for 20 minutes after breakfast came back to find room door wide open. Obviously due to cleaning staff not checking who had booked out sheet which aws bad enough but to leave door open us unforgiveable.
I expected to see John Cleese step into the foyer or breakfast room at any time but this would be unfair as this hotel is nowhere near as good as Faulty Towers.

this hotel was excellent. i highly recommend it. the room service was excellent at a very cheap price. the room were lovely. just go there trust me lol.
