Clean little hotel, nothing amazing, just somewhere to stay!!

The rooms in this hotel (we got a quad room as there was four of us - 2 adults 2 children) was very narrow and small...The bathroom was really really tiny but we managed.
It was a pleasant looking room with a window overlooking the terrace which was nice. Breakfast was okay, the breads, cheeses and hams were nice, variety wasn't huge but cleanliness was pretty good.
Front desk staff weren't extremely friendly or helpful...looked like they were there just to do their job and thats all.
Location was ok, you had to walk a while to get to the main tourist part through back streets.
I would hate to imagine what size rooms the normal rooms are as we thought the quad room was extremely small.
Overall, this hotel is ok but would try look for a better hotel next time.
Wouldn't stay there again

Our room had stains on the wall, old bed, dirty carpet. Bathroom was old and rusty. Very hot at night in the summer. I remember not complaining about this place because most of our time was spent away from the hotel, thank God. It sucked walking by all the really nice hotels to get to this one which is practically located in an alley with graffitti on it. Not worth the money and a total rip off if you ask me now. I just didn't know how to shop around for hotels back then.

we have just got back from hotel .stayed 13th to 15th June 08
really friendly staff especially bar and breakfast .rooms are adequate for wekend stay'
far enough away from tourist area for restuarants at reasonable prices (for Rome )
hop on hop off bus stop not too far away which we used and found to be the best way to get around
well worth considering and if we went back we would stay there again

This hotel was booked as I had stayed there before - great location and nice hotel. However I booked in January 2007 for my 6 night stay in August, received booking confirmation. On my arrival at 10pm I was told that they had overbooked and that there was no room available!!!! They did say I could have alternate accommodation in an apartment around the corner and pop over to the hotel for our breakfast - NO WAY. They then offered alternate accommodation at their sister hotel - Hotel Regno on the Via Del Corso - best thing that could have happened - better location and better hotel.

i spent 4 nights here with my 11year-old daughter.... i can not praise highly enough the excellent staff, who were at all times very friendly, kindly and caring
the room was tidied each day to to an exceptinally high standard, and all clothes we had lazily strewn about were folded neatly by the cleaning staff
mr.pippo guiliano was a gracious, amusing, kind, and generous host.... my daughter warmed very much to him and his amusing stories at dinner
my daughter thought all the hotel staff were fantastic... they were all so kind and friendly to her, the sterotype of italian culture honouring and appreciating children clearly holding water
i would recommend this hotel to all... it is ideally located, it is clean, friendly, and most welcoming .... we can't wait to go back
the staff smile
the tartuffo cioccolata/limone is not to be missed
thank you
