This place is rundown, and when you get there, you have to pay an additional $100 deposit as well as the amt owed for stay. This is due to 'people taking things from the hotel'. I've stayed in several hotels, and while I didn't expect the Hilton, even Super 8's don't have this kind of 'welcome' for you. The room had a frig w/o freezer, no microwave, small beds, no molding and was RUNDOWN. Wouldn't be worth $60.00 a night. Was clean, and did have nice products however. Wouldn't consider staying again.

I am mixed on the stay-
The room, while small and very cramped, was great. 2 queens, had a mini fridge and a DVD player with free DVD rentals downstairs in lobby. Bathroom had a very noisy fan that didn't vent properly.
The pool facility was awful. Dirty, and in an obvious state of disrepair.
The breakfast was alright, but more geared towards kids. Lots of sugar rich food, like doughnuts. Was not the "deluxe" breakfast advertised, had was fruit cups, cereal, coffee, toast, etc. Not deluxe by any standards.
Staff was helpful, but swamped, only 2 people at the desk, we had to wait 30 mins to check in.
Location is great, near shopping and great food.

This motel is part of a Canadian chain. This is the only U.S. property on their website. Motel is about ? mile off I-29 on the south side of Grand Forks.
We had a weeknight stay in April. Had a two room suite. The rooms had obviously once been smoking rooms as there were several cigarette burns scatted around but thankfully no cigarette aroma. The carpeting was worn, the stand holding the refrigerator was water damaged and the bed’s blanket backing was coming off in patches. We didn’t have the opportunity to take advantage of the pool or Jacuzzi.
A good enhanced continental breakfast (waffle batter, bagels, cereal, juice, etc.) until 10 A.M. Free DVD rentals (you have to put in a Credit Card to secure the DVD) as well as a computer with free Internet in the lobby.
While the room size was fine and it was clean, it felt overpriced for the condition (rusty sprinkler, cigarette burns, 1970’s lampshades), the time of year and the location. Combined with a traveler unfriendly cancellation policy (24+ hour notice of cancellation or entire night is charged) this is not a place we’ll return to.

I thought this hotel was very nice. The frot desk staff was very helpful and friendly to me and my sisters.The continental breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere made us feel right at home. Although a few updates are needed, the rooms were quite nice and comfortable. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and we liked the free cookies that were always available right at the front desk. We will definately be coming here every time we visit the states!

This was the worst hotel i have ever stayed at and I do alot of traveling. There was hair floating in the hottub, you can't see the bottom of the pool. The carpet outside our room was soaking wet and they had put big industrial (electrical) fans down on the floor to try and dry it. I guess they have never heard of electrical shocks. I was so disgusted that i will definately take this hotel off my list of "places to stay" This place was hugely overpriced for what you get. My best advice is to find another hotel and keep driving past this one!!!!
