This hotel was actually picked by a friend who could not attend a function that we were going to, so he offered us his room. I don't know if I could have been much more satisfied.
The staff was very friendly and check in was a breeze. The hotel sits nestled among huge trees and on a hill so it remined us of N. Carolina.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We did notice that the a/c didn't seem to be working right so I called the front desk shortly before leaving for dinner. When we returned we were pleased to see the a/c had been repaired and worked very well.
The room was very quiet and peaceful for sleeping.
The rest of our stay was short as we checked out before 8 a.m. the next day. However, the room was a great value and I will stay there again.

The lobby and other shared areas at Cabot Lodge are all very nice and well kept up. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It was pretty late when we checked in to our non-smoking room. The room itself looked decent - it was clean and plenty big. We were tired from a long day's drive so we went straight to bed, only to find that our mattress stunk like a stale ash tray, and the pillows all smelled of mildew. We were much too exhausted to change rooms, so we just did our best to sleep. We filled out a comment card before we left explaining what had happened, but I have yet to hear from the hotel (over a week ago).
We definitely won't stay there again.

My co-worker and I stayed at Cabot while on some training in downtown Tallahassee. The lobby area was well maintained and the staff was very professional, even giving us directions when we called lost from the road. Check in was fast and we were charged
$73.00 (government rate). My room was clean though the toilet didn't work and the lamp was broken. All rooms have free high-speed wireless internet access which is nice since I had just payed $30.00 at a hotel downtown for the same thing. The hotel was quiet and the grounds well maintained. Happy hour is from 5-7 with free alcohol and popcorn. The breakfast was pretty good. There was cereal, sausage muffins, fruit and pastry. All in all a good place.

I have stayed in this hotel twice and both times have had lots of fun.
The front area/lobby is great. There is so may places to sit and relax. On the screened in back porch there are also rocking chairs.
Free Happy Hour is the greatest. We traveled with a large group and had a cookout by the pool.
The only complaint I have about this hotel is my A/C wasn't working right this time. On my stay in 2005 it worked fine so just a little bad luck with getting the room with the broke A/C.

I thought for $109 a night I would get a better deal! I will give you the positives before the negatives. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was decent and free. However, the room was dirty!! There were stains on the carpet and the tile in the bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in months. The stains on the carpet looked like someone had a dog in there that went number two on the floor and the residue was never picked up! I felt ripped off. Go somewhere else for this price.
