This is a stylish boutique hotel very close to Stockholm's Central Station (T Centralen) and next door to the Arlanda Express station, so it is quite conveniently located. Generally ok, although it was a bit on the institutional/clinical side (ie - little warmth). Room was completely white without one single piece of artwork anywhere. Room was also very small, bathroom particularly so. Staff is way too cool to bother with most of us everyday people, but we did find one or two really helpful staff members eventually who were quite beneficial to making our stay in Stockholm enjoyable. The room was quiet and we did sleep well, and at the end of the day that is the most important thing.

Nordic Light sells itself on its design credentials but though it is stylish I didn't feel it was particularly special in this respect. However, it is a comfortable, clean and well-thought out hotel in a great location adjacent to Stockholm's Central Station, right next to the Arlanda Express rail link to the airport.
My room was simple but comfortable with an exceptionally comfortable bed and some nice touches like an umbrella and shoe horn. The wardrobes were amongst the smallest I have ever experienced; fine for the weekend that I was there but if you were staying longer it might be a problem.
The bar/restaurant is stylish though again not exceptional for a modern city hotel. The breakfast buffet was great; lots of choice and good quality. Dinner was less satisfactory with a very limited and not very classy choice, though the food was perfectly adequate and of good quality and the service was fine.
The best aspect of the hotel are the staff who were all helpful, multi-lingual, polite and efficient.

A modern simplistic hotel in Stockholm, representing Nordic designs in the hotel - from the brochures to the magazines, breakfast and eating utensils.
Hotel - we got the basic room; didn't book for the light mood rooms, as it was already spring and daylight was good! Even the basic rooms are spacious, clean and simple. Bath toiletries are great (you can always ask for more!).
Location - strategically located next to the main train/coach station. You could walk to the City Hall and explore the city by foot from this hotel.
Food - Breakfast is simple and nice, no complains. Standard continental breakfast. We too tried the lunch menu - Light Lunch - not too bad! The IceBar is worth checking, just opposite the hotel (Nordic Sea).
Overall experience was great. We enjoyed the design concept hotel, and will go back.

Quite a minimalist hotel. Even from the outside, it seemed 'hidden'. Located very near the central train station and convenient for central Stockholm.
On the inside, you were greeted by very polite receptionists. Check in was a breeze. The room I stayed in had the special lights which one could alter to suit your particular mood. There is also the opportunity to order a special light box, to help lift your mood. Whether it contributes to a placebo effect, I hadn't had the chance to find out.
The room was quite small. It was however very clean. I had six hypoallergenic pillows with an extremely comfy duvet!! The bed was also very comfortable. For such a modern hotel, one wonders why LCD TVs were not provided. Had to stick with the old fashioned CRTs. The bathroom was also on the small side. It was however modern and clean. Very Ikea-like.
The hotel bar was next to the reception. Quite informal and open. I did not have to chance to visit the spa. Breakfast was included in my room rate and I must say that the food provided was of good quality, especially the bacon, eggs and sausages!! The choice was vast, from fruits, breads and a continental breakfast selection.
Overall, the experience I had was a pleasant one, only marred by a small room. The light features of the hotel did not mean much to me and it had no effect. A boutique hotel with a twist.

Stylish hotel just steps away from the Arlanada Express train station. Many rooms here have light therapy setups which kinda makes sense considering the long dark winters.
