I stayed here with my 3 friends over the weekend 27-29th June. We stayed friday and left sunday night. The hotel has a cool fish tank in the middle and has the ICE BAR located inside and ou get a discount if you stay at the hotel. It is next to the Arlanda Express but we didn't use it, because it cost 220 SEK [aprox ?20-22] and so a cab for 4 was cheaper at 350 SEK [pre book on the net - its cheaper] which is about ?35. The actual room is small but we wanted the cheaper room the express room and im never bothered by the sze of hotel rooms. It had EVERTHING you could need. it was clean and had a hardryer etc etc. Staff werevery friendly and helpful with our hundreds of questions and we couldn't have had a better stay. We are very thankful to all at the Nordic Sea Hotel for a wonderful weekend.

We visited the Nordic Sea over a year ago and I am just now getting around to reviewing. Hotel has a nice lobby, nice rooms, and is very clean. The service at the front desk was better than expected. The location was nice- very close to the metro and was not overly crowed as some of the other hotels, etc. Overall I would definitely stay there again.

Sometimes a room is better without a window

I stayed at the Nordic Sea Hotel last July, and I booked one of the single occupancy Express rooms that don't have a window. I'm a very light-sensitive sleeper; I wake up when the sun rises, and sunrise at that time of year was around 3:40am. So a windowless room was the key to a good night's sleep.
The complimentary breakfast was great, and included lots of cereal options and bacon and eggs. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any smoked salmon, though.
I would gladly stay at the Nordic Sea Hotel again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in March 2008.
As mentioned by others, location is right when you get off the terminal of the airport express train. It is very convenient, especially if you are catching an early morning flight out.
I had a room located on the top floor and it was okay - nothing to rave about. The furniture is typical Scandinavian, but getting a bit dated. The rooms and hallways are designed like a ship and just like a ship - not too spacious.
The service is good - I couldn't complain. The front desk and wait staff are friendly and helpful.
The buffet breakfast is not something to write home about. Quite ordinary - and given the number of rooms in the hotel, can get busy sometimes.
They provide access to the fitness centre located at their sister hotel, Nordic Light, right across the street.
Overall, for the amount paid, I would say it is was just okay.

We stayed at the Nordic Sea for 2 nights at the end of December.
Firstly the location is great as it is directly opposite the exit from the Arlanda express, great when you've just got off the plane and you don't want another journey to find your hotel. You can buy tickets for the Arlanda express from reception where there is also a information screen showing you the times of the next trains, meaning you can wait in comfort in the hotel rather than on the cold platform. It is also next to the central train staion and so a good central point for exploring the city. There is a large department store and supermarket within walking distance.
The room wasn't massive but was comfortable, clean and modern. The space was adequate for 2 of us as we really only used the room for sleeping.
The buffet breakfast was ok although very busy and at times every table was full and people were waiting. The selection of food was good, mostly breads, cheeses and a bacon and eggs. The Stockholm Icebar is located in the lobby but we didn't try it this time however the hotel does have a good bar.
We found the staff on reception to be extremely helpful when checking in and out and they also went way out of their way to find us a restaurant for dinner that met our needs. I really can't fault their level of service. There are also 3 computer terminals in the lobby with free internet access and a link to traveller and city information.
Overall we really liked this hotel and would definitely consider staying again.
