Great location for Left Bank visit. Small rooms but very clean, excellent soundproofing and lots of hot water at very high pressure - a rarity in French hotels. Welcoming front desk service - they allowed me to get into a room at 9:00 AM after a transatantic flight. Breakfast buffet generous - boil your own eggs and squeeze your own fresh juice. got a good price incl. breakfast on the chain' s website. Will definitely stay there again.

I was part of a small group from the same company. I arrived late, after all my colleagues had arrived and confirmed my late arrival.....to find ou that my room had been given away!!

My wife and I stayed here to do some Christmas shopping. The hotel is very well located, being very close to the Metro stations of VAVIN (across the street) and RASPAIL (1 minute walk). The 68 bus, which takes you into the city centre, stops outside.
The hotel has been very recently refurbished and is clean and modern. We found our original room a little on the small side and were willingly and courteously given a larger one on the ground floor. I cannot reconcile the description of the rude/arrogant staff by a previous reviewer with the service we received. We found the staff unfailingly helpful and polite. (Perhaps the person complained of has left?) The room was clean and the bathroom immaculate. Breakfast was the usual self-service continental style with a decent choice.
There is a good, family-run restaurant around the corner,"Le Bistro des Campagnes". We couldn't recommend the Italian restaurant (Il Barone?) opposite it however. It was very poor for both cuisine and value. There are several very good restaurants within 50 metres but not all are cheap!

A very positive surprise. I had a conference trip and my travel agency recommended this nice hotel, not far away from Montparnasse cemetary (a nice park as well!).
The non-smoking room was clean and the bathroom was just renovated. My window was towards the inner yard, but I was not missing any great scenaries. I appreciate rooms where you can draw dark curtains and have a nap in the darkness in the middle of the day. Even in that sense the hotel room was a positive surprise.
Breakfast was OK, a wise decision for Paris where eating (meals, dinners) costs a lot and you never get enough to eat ;-)
A test for service: The day when I left, I was a bit late. Clock was already 12 noon and the cleaning lady came to knock my door. She was very polite and I speeded up my packing. Once again, plus points to Mercure Raspail Montrapnasse.
Getting to Raspail Montparnasse is easy, the RER train station is not far away, if you travel from Charles de Gaulle airport. Similarly subway stations are close to the hotel.
Only minus points: The corridors are quite narrow, so it is not the best hotel for handicapped and elderly people.
