The hotel is very nice and the room we were given (after complaining about the inside room that was smaller and old) was great. The staff was as accommodating as you can ever ask and gave great advice on where to go and what to do. The hotel is across the street from the train station to Sorrento and Pompeii (330 E to Sorrento) and a short walk to the main train to Rome. The R2 bus is also there which takes you to the harbor area. The area that the hotel is probably safe if you are not alone, but you don't stay at the hotel for any view from the windows. We were surprised that the staff spoke more English than what we experienced in Rome. The air conditioning was working and needed! We would not have wanted to have to have open windows in that hotel.

Overall a great hotel. Great rooms and interior. The restaurant was very good and had an excellent breakfast. The hotel staff was very helpful. On the negative side, the elevators were tiny! And the hotel is not located in the best of neighborhoods. Overall the best hotel of our trip!

L'albergo è situato in una brutta zona, cioè quella della stazione. Le camere sono dotate di ottimo comfort e sono ben pulite, così come tutti gli ambienti dell'hotel. La cucina non è granché, ma facevo parte di un tour organizzato quindi (purtroppo) ci può stare. Il personale dell'hotel è gentile e rapido.

good location, good food, good trasport to rich hotel.

Wie schon in den meisten englischen Bewertungen erwähnt ist das Hotel ganz in Ordnung. Die Zimmer waren sauber und durchaus akzeptabel (wenn man von den üblichen italienischen steinharten Kissen und der Wolldecke mit Laken absieht), das Personal freundlich, und das Frühstück für italienische Verhältnisse recht ordentlich! Trotzdem würden wir uns beim nächsten Mal nicht mehr dort einquartieren. Zum Einen ist die Entfernung zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, oder abends zu netten Restaurants sehr weit. Zwar fahren vom Hauptbahnhof Busse, aber die sind überfüllt und es ist umständlich. Wie in vielen Kritiken vorher bemängelt ist die Lage katastrophal! Gerade abends fühlt man sich nicht besonders wohl vor der Tür- vom Müll und Gestank auf dem Weg zum Bahnhof einmal ganz abgesehen! Fazit: Gutes Hotel, ungünstige Lage, unsichere Gegend!
