LOCAL : The hotel has a good localization for those that are driving , because after to exit from the highway it is not dificult to find it following the indications on the streets.
THE BUILDING .: The building ia a 10 or 15 years old one , well mantained-.
THE ROOMS: Are very large ( about 25 square meters) and confortable with a modern and funcional furniture.
THE SERVICE: The service at Reception and Lobby Bar are quite good and staff is very kind and helpful
THE RESTAURANT: Is very poor in terms of choices, the quality is merely average and the global relation price/quality is bad.
The breakfast generaly is not included in the room price and it is only reasonable.

Stayed here for a few nights on a Titan tour of north Portugal. Generally the recent reviews on here are fair and accurate. It is a little way out of the main town, so not too convenient for Coimbra itself.
Modern hotel, looks nice and with pleasant reception/bar area. Rooms were fine and quite nicely equipped. Restaurant is good looking. We had "set menus" with no choice (very disappointing, Titan!), but the food was quite good. Others eating there from choice seemed to have good meals, and open till 10.00 pm too. Breakfasts however were a shambles - overcrowded, running out of everything (plates, knives, forks etc - people had to go and "steal" things from other tables!). Food was OK in quality and fair choice.
Staff were good - barman remembered our chosen brand of port from previous evening (not bad eh?). The location is busy, perhaps noisy in front, but back has attractive general outlook over hills in evenings. It did not seem too convenient for Coimbra itself (nice town) - too far to walk anyway.
This is a decent hotel, with nice accommodation. Cannot compare it with others in Coimbra itself, although they must have an edge in terms of location and access to sights and restaurants,.

A modern good quality hotel on the edge of the city. Very Good breakfasts with choice of hot and cold food. The restaurant is also well worth a try, offering local dishes at a reasonable price. All the staff were friendly and very efficient. A couple of 'local' bars in a shopping centre are just around the corner as well as patiseries, supermarket etc. Coimbra a good 15 minute walk on the way down and nearer 25 mins on the way back up the hill but don't let this put you off.
