?299 for the 'honeymoon package' in an 'exclusive mansion suite' including.. champagne and flowers in the room and breakfast in bed..
Unfortunately, this hotel does not actually know that a suite is defined as MORE than 1 room, or a large room with a clearly defined living area & the management couldn't care less about customer service.
The key points of our stay were:
We paid for an exclusive suite..we got a fairly standard double.
Unfriendly and unprofessional reception.
Cheap champagne, flowers which were nice but dying by the next morning & completely dead within 4 days
A broken spa bath
Burnt, slow food.
Late, & incorrect when finally delivered, room service
Breakfast did not arrive as ordered.. so another call to reception.. and then missing various bits despite 2 calls to get the order corrected..
I have written to both the hotel manager and the managing director of huston hospitality.. pointing out that I had paid for a night in an 'exclusive mansion suite' and that was what I expected to get. I was naive enough to think I would get an effusive apology & either a full refund or a night in an actual suite (considering this was what I had paid for!)
Firstly he 'generously' refunded the cost of the burnt, late and incorrect food...
Then, when I wrote back explaining - yet again - that, notwithstanding the broken bath, rubbish food, poor room service, dead flowers & no breakfast, I'd paid for a suite and hadn't got one, the manager wrote back saying he would refund a further ?80 and that the hotel considered the matter closed.
Perhaps, with that customer service ethic being prevalent all the way to the top, it is of little surprise that the service at this hotel is so extremely poor.
I paid ?299 for a night in an exclusive suite.. I got a night in a normal room, a broken bath, burnt food, poor room service and some dead flowers.. A total rip off.
The only positive I can think of was that thankfully, it wasn't actually my honeymoon.
Avoid at all costs.

We reserved a room before around 2 months through website and received a confirmation email. However, when we arrived the hotel, we were forwarded to another hotel because they had no room available. What we saw was a beautiful garden in front of the hotel.

We stayed in room 101. It is a curiosity of this hotel that the first digit of the room number does not correspond to the floor number. Accordingly, 101 actually on the third floor. This review is necessarily written from the perspective of staying in that room, which is right over the lobby. There are other rooms in newer parts of the hotel that may be better. The hotel has no lifts though, which would be a problem for those who have trouble climbing stairs.
Overall, the hotel is OK, with quite good service. Take note that there is little to do there, and that Windsor and Eton are good 1 hour 15 minute walk away. It is located on a large property right next to the Thames. The hotel has a couple of golf holes on this property.
Our room was very noisy, and, over the weekend, we were woken repeatedly at very late hours by revelers associated with a wedding here. We can clearly hear people walking in the room above us.
The room is awkwardly furnished (e.g., the TV is off to the side..) The drain in the sink doesn't work quite right and the hotel failed to respond to several requests to fix this. The sink has separate hot and cold faucets, which is always an irritation. It is not possible to turn the shower on or off without having to reach through the water coming from the shower head. There is a small weight room and a small indoor pool on the property.
It does have wireless internet at 15 pounds per day. The signal is not strong, however, and accordingly it can be quite slow
All-in-all, acceptable but not extraordinary..

We stayed for 8 nights at the beginning of June and paid ?125 per night for the room which included breakfast (we booked the hotel back in January).
The hotel and grounds are magnificent. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay, and in particular the service from the staff. One evening we asked one of the concierges for advice on how to get to the Derby at Epsom Downs Racecourse the following day, and were touched to find he'd pencilled 'Good Luck!' in the corner of the next day's Racing Post!
Travelling to and from the town of Windsor, which is delightful, was not a problem because we had our car with us. We also found parking in the town straightforward.
We will definitely be back.

Looking for a Mother Sunday away with our family (wife, girls 10 and 5) on lastminute.com, I found a decent rate at Oakley Court.
Key points:
+ location and environs were fab. The exterior of the house has character, and a nice strech of the Thames.
+ we found the staff friendly and efficient. The usual British front desk, South African restaurant and Eastern European room staff mix !
+ although the restauarant was a little pricey (for the four of us ?90 for food alone), it was a nice grown up experience for the girls - and their own menu was good value and better than the standard chicken and chips variety.
+ for the type of the hotel, dress code for the guests was more relaxed than we expected
+ breakfast was very good buffet,. We had a B&B type rate - and they did charge ?7.50 extra for each child, but certainly cheaper than a UK Marriott !!
+ hotel pool was pretty small - perhaps big enough for only 4 adults and 2 children comfortable. That said, even at the peak 5pm hour, it was OK.
In summary - we all had a very pleasent stay, and would certainly consider returning.
