This is our second stay here and again we were delighted. We first stopped here last year en route for our cruise.
This year we were going up to London to a concert and wanted a place to stay in north London as we had some business to do before we ventured deeper into the city on the following day.
We had a look on late rooms and they were charging ?74.00 per night excl. breakfast. We then rang the hotel and they honoured the price of late rooms and gave us breakfast too.
Pinewood was our first choice as it's really easy to get to. We arrived late (11pm) and were greeted by a friendly member of staff who whipped us through our arrivals. Before we know it, we were in room 29 on the first floor.
Again, the room was spotlessly clean, and so was the bathroom. The rooms are stylish and comfortable with a kingsize bed and comfortable pillows. We were able to open the windows at night and there was very little noise from the road. Air con also works very well in the room.
Slept like a log on a very comfortable and firm bed with crisp clean sheets.
Bathrooms are clean and stylish. Towels were on a heated towel rack and are of a good size. Two towels per person.
Breakfast is served in a wonderful restaurant area where you can look out of the glass doors onto the lawn. Breakfast menu is excellent. They do a cold buffet which is full of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, juice, cheese and hams - and there was plenty of it all laid out. Hubby asked for boiled eggs and I had have poached eggs with spinach, english muffins and holandaise sauce from the hot menu.
Didn't like the tea though - a bit like dishwasher! Never mind!
Check out was quick and easy.
Parking is safe, the whole place is wonderful. Shame we didn't make it in time for the evening menu as their food is lovely.

At ?69 bed and breakfast through Laterooms, this beats Premier Inns hands down. Lovely location, surrounded by gardens, the hotel is obviously designed to attract the wedding market.
Rooms are above average, but the beds/pillows could be better/more comfortable.
Breakfast cooked whilst you wait was fantastic and it's certainly on the "visit again" list.

Well, I must say firstly the staff on reception were very polite, professional and warm, which makes this review of the hotel no reflection on them at all. The waitress in the restaurant was a lovely young lady but despite her sweetness the 45 minute wait for our (booked) table in a room occupied by no more than 9 people was to stretch our understanding. On ordering the mezes starter and main course we then endured a further ONE HOUR wait for our cold starter ???!!! We were offered complimentary drinks so we availed ourselves of another glass of water each as the interminable wait began again for our main course. A less than mediocre main meal eventually arrived and we did not have the stamina to wait for pudding and left the restaurant after two and a half hours of quite frankly a ruined evening. The frequent glimpses of the irritated chef - goodness knows why as the place was empty! - hastened our departure to the allegedly 'superior' room. Ahem. Although very clean and nice little touches of Molton Brown in the en-suite I have to say Not Impressed at all and we will not be returning.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, efficient & polite. The room was okay, few minor grumbles (satellite tv wasnt working for example) but on the whole it was fine. The room was clean, triple glazing kept noise of traffic to a minimum, decent size room and fair sized bathroom (seem to find a lot of bathrooms in general are titchy, this also had a bath instead of just a shower)
Can't comment on the restaurant itself because didn't eat there but did have a giggle at the menu because everything sounds absolutely awful! (The way they describe something as simple a hawaiian pizza makes it so unappetising!)
I will also point out this hotel is technically in Bucks instead of Slough. Although it is situated near a lot of interesting places, the location of the hotel is a bit awkward if you dont drive or aren't familiar with the area (but anyone with a decent sat nav or good sense of direction shouldn't worry too much!)
Don't think i'd go here again though, although the hotel itself is ok - really don't want to put people off, I still think there must be somewhere in this area that just has that extra something ? (If I find anywhere I'll let you know!!!)

I liked this hotel very much. It looks a newly built hotel just off the main road (Not a very busy one) in the countryside and has about 50 rooms
The reception is available 24hrs and the staff were very friendly and professional
The restaurant and bar area is very smart and modern in design.
Breakfast was included in my rate and consisted of a buffet style continental breakfast with a Varied selection of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses and fruit juice, the waiting staff offer you toast, tea and coffee at the table and a menu with a selection of hot items. I had the full english (Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Black Pudding, Fresh Plum Tomatoes and Mushrooms on the first morning, it was great, nicely cooked and presented.
Never tried the lunch or dinner menu but it looked a varied choice and not overly priced
The room I stayed in was very nice with a double bed and decorated to a high standard, the room features include:- a good size flat screen TV, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, a sofa, desk & chair, iron & ironing board, slippers & bath robe and a digital safe.
The bathroom was spotlessly clean with plenty of clean white towels and a selection of Molten Brown toiletries.
I spent 3 nights here.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Pinewood and would definitely return and also recommend it to other people.
