Getting Married, Is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life, yet my sister and now brother in law nearly had their special day ruined completely by making the mistake of hosting their wedding reception at this venue !!. We have all been to dodgy establishments in our teenage years but this Hotel was like something out of Carry on Abroad. 3 stars the only 3 stars that this place could claim would be in the Dudley Sky !!!. The staff were noticable by there absence, they only speed they showed all night at the evening reception was trying to run away when questioned on any aspect of what was supposed to be happening The buffet in a nutshell Was woeful, inadequate, lame, cold, bland, uninspiring, lacklustre ·The general presentation of the buffet was un professional, the sandwiches were stuffed on a few silver servers as if the staff didn’t want to wash up anymore than they had to, this lead to people having to pull apart sandwiches in order to get the one they wanted. ·The (hot) food was cold the chips and wedges were stone cold as were the chicken strips, they were obviously cooked well in advance of the buffet start time ·The quiche was greying and the Pizza’s was sweating it had been out that long And to top it all the drinks were so expensive we couldn't even get drunk !!.. I urge emplore beg any of you intending to book your wedding reception to think again . Don't let this hotel ruin your Big Day The Dudley Gnome

My Wedding on Saturday 10h May 2008 was the most perfect day from the moment I first spoke to the wedding co - ordinator until the moment I left. The food on the day was excellent aswell as the service from all of the staff. I would recommend the Himley Country Hotel to any one for the Wedding Venue.

People seem to have mixed feelings about this hotel.. I was in charge of a coach party staying the night of August 4th 2007. Nobody complained to me about their room, but, as on other occasions, the problem was caused by a raucous wedding party clattering along the corridors till all hours and, of course, setting off the fire alarm in the middle of the night. It's understandable that the hotel welcomes these wedding parties but, when allocating rooms, why not put wedding guests above all the noise from the disco, and not the guests trying to sleep? Considering we were a coach party, the dinner and breakfast were both very good, and staff were pleasant, and all native English speakers Whilst rooms were comfortable, mine was a little shabby - mold by the side of the windows, deceased insects in the light cover and, problem here, a shower providing only hot water. I reported this to reception and was told they'd had lots of problems with the showers! Get them fixed, then! It has a pleasant setting, and, with a little more attention to detail, this hotel could be a very pleasant 3*.

we stayed here and am surprised by the comments the hotel is looking tired in my opinion but our room was very clean i think the shabbiness made it appear dirty but it wasnt the food good and the internet rate was great would stay again
