Only stayed here for one night but the hotel seemed fine. The staff were polite, verything was incredibly clean and the location was relatively central although I was told later that it was only half a mile or so from a crime blackspot, didn't make any difference to my stay and it would have been in the opposite direction from the city centre. Overall definitely recommended but preferably for a short stay.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights
Staff were helpful and even though not all spoke English they found someone who could help us if needed.
Accommodation was good - beds comfortable, room clean and decent size, we slept undisturbed, the public areas were well designed.
We had breakfast as part of the package - good variety of hot and cold and good quality. Items cooked to order if requested.
No parking but public parking safe and secure across the road. Hotel 10 minutes walk from Grand Place (depending on how quickly you walk)

As I read here before.... the staff doesn't do "customer service" very well. Even being at fault, they didn't manage to admit to their mistake and didn't treat me as a customer but rather as another way to make money.
The first line of staff was friendly enough, but when connected with their superiors, I got in touch with people without the necessary language skills (this is a hotel in the heart of Europe!) and without any sense of customer care.
As long as everything goes OK, this hotel is probably nice enough (rooms ok, looks clean), but you better not have any complaints, because the staff does not want to hear about it.
Very disappointed!

Great weekend Brussels break

We booked a last-minute weekend package through Expedia, which included the Hilton Brussels City as a hotel.
We requested double rooms, which did not successfully pass through Expedia to the Hilton (Caveat Emptor). However, the staff (Mustafa) was accommodating and booked us into the rooms in the HHonours floor (TYVM!) with ease.
Overall, it's a Hilton so good service, good rooms, and decent location. We would have preferred to closer to the city centre. We were happy with the helpful staff and clean facility.
The tram is right out of the hotel and provides easy access to Gare du Midi and the centre. Yet, walking to the city centre (Grand Place) takes only 20 minutes and is quite pleasant. Watch out for tramps defecating and urinating about in the tram station.
We best enjoyed Place du Sablon, which is a stretch from the Hilton City.
Brussels overall is a fun city if you like to eat, drink, and just “chillax”. Brussels is a great beer drinking destination with plenty of choices. Not too many historical sights (like Paris/London/etc), but still a good break and recommended if living in the UK for quick jump on the Eurostar.
In sum, we would return to the HBC, but only if hotels closer to the centre or Sablon were full.

My wife and I stayed in the Hilton Brusells city for three nights at the beginning of May 2008. The Hotel is situated close to the Station Nord , and is 15 minutes walking distance from the Grand Place.
We stayed on the 5th floor in a deluxe room , which was large and well furnished.
We did not eat at the hotel restaurant , as it was too expensive.
We would recommend this hotel.
