I spend alot of time in Coventry on business and usually stay at the nearby holiday inn. As that was full I thought I'd give the Hilton a go and I found it a bit disappointing.
For starters, charging guest ?3 to park is a bit of a turn off - no where else locally does this. The rooms are ok, but trade a bit of "past glory" - simple things; missing towel rack in the bathroom, one light out in the bathroom, damp patch down by the corner of the bath etc. were a bit shocking in a "deluxe-plus" room. The air-conditioning was one of those older 3-settings type knob on the wall and did barely anything which led to a bit of an uncomfortable night.
Price wise, compared to an executive room at the Holiday inn, this was ?50 more and absolutely not worth it.
If the Holiday Inn is full, stay here, but only if you must - otherwise there's a quite decent premier travel lodge a short drive away.

Stayed here whilst attending a friend's wedding in the same hotel. The room was very comfortable as you'd expect. The bar seemed well stocked and the breakfast was ample. Some of the cheese and meats seemed a little dried out so had probably not been replaced since the start of breakfast.
All in all a comfortable stay and we would go back there but very similar to other hotel chains of a similar price.

Booked a twin room for a 1 night stop over with my daughter, was allowed to book in early into our room by a very helpful lady on reception. Room was clean and tidy and beds very comfortable. Good car parking on site and plenty of it. Used the Hotel bar which was ok with good service.
Had room service and found it to be pretty good, only waited about 15mins and food was good. Having read the reviews before booking this hotel i was a little concerned, but decided to go with it as the hotel had a swimming pool and my little girl loves swimming, I have stayed in lots of nice hotels all around England and abroad and I must say for a one night stay which only cost me ?60 inc breakfast (Which was very good) it was well worth it. If i'm up in coventry again I will not hesitate to book again. Also another plus for me is it is two minutes off the M6

This hotel was booked using the 2night bed and breakfast, with dinner on the first night rate. Firstly on check in the receptionist did not answer any questions we had and did not even tell us where the room was located.
the room itself was a good size. the tv channels are very limited. the bathroom was grubby and the floor had not been cleaned. the bottom of the bath was a brownish colour, so i just had showers for the stay. every time the toilet was flushed a humming sound was left for around 5 minutes and even with the bathroom door shut it was still very noticeable.
The leisure suite is nice, the sauna wasnt working as they were waiting for a new one to be installed. but on a whole the pool is a good size and also the spa is good, could have done with being a bit warmer though. When walking into the area it was quite intimidating as the staff were play fighting with punch bags etc. and the area could have been cleaned alot more, there was lots of water by the spa and steam room entrance that needed sweeping up.
The worse part of the stay was breakfast each morning. People were queueing for at least 20minutes to get a table to sit down at. The manager was apologising but she was very patronising. If the breakfast had not been included in the rate i would have not waited. I did not see one of the restaurant staff smile all the time we were there. the waitresses for breakfast cleared tables at a snails pace and it was very annoying. once sitted the manager came over at least twice to apologise for the wait, this just ruined the breakfast even more as she was interupting us eating.
I would not come back to the hotel. the only good thing was the bowling cinema and shops across the road to the hotel. The dinner was expensive £23.00 for a carvery, the beef was so tough i gave up trying to cut it and the vegetables and potatoes were nothing special. the lemon torte was nice for dessert. if anyone has been to a toby carvery then stick with that, that is only £7 and is 50% better quality of food.
wouldnt go back because of the dirty bathroom and unorganised and miserable restaurant staff
