I booked this hotel solely on my previous experiences with Howard Johnson hotel. This was a huge disappointement - the motel looks like it hasn't been renovated in 15 years or more. It appears like they banned smoking in the room in 2007 but never really bothered to change the carpet/bedding because it stinks like stale cigarettes.
The room they gave me was on the main level so if you wanted to leave the curtains open to get some natural light in everyone outside can look into your room - weird.
You could see light shining in under the door from the outside because the weather stripping had long ago rotted away - luckly no bugs that I could see on the stained carpet.
The bathroom was dark and dingy. Even though I'm only 5'5" I had to bend down under the shower because it was placed so low - at least there was good water pressure and adequate hot water. I still couldn't bear to walk bare feet on the carpet because it felt dirty.
The staff was helpful, especially when I asked them to turn on the heat because it was freezing in the room.
Continental breakfast was VERY basic.
At least they had wireless that worked!!!
If you're going for business - definately not a classy place to be.
It is cheaper then the Ramada (115$) I end up going to once I cancelled by 3 day stay at this place (85$) but it my view the 30$ made a huge difference to my confort level. It's one of those you get what you pay for but for 85$ a night - it was a big stretch.

Had booked this hotel for two nights through Trip Rewards. We left after the first night. The weather was chilly and the heat in the room would not work. Called the front desk, asked for two pillows and an extra blanket. The owner of the hotel demanded to know what I needed an extra blanket for! I told him I was cold. My husband went down to pick them up and told the man that the heat in the room wouldnt work, and the man told my husband that it was turned off and that he would turn it on "later" This is 10 pm. I had a shower, the towels were so thin you could just about see through them. The towel my husband used had blood stains on it! The bed had no fitted sheet on the bottom, only a sheet that was tucked in on one side and wasnt big enough to be tucked in on the other side of the bed. The room had a musty smell to it. The "rise and dine" breakfast consisted of Brown or white bread for toast. Frozen waffles that were left out in a display case and so were soggy. Frosted flakes or Raisin bran cereal. The coffee was made in a large coffee urn, and was almost clear it was so weak. Totally unsatisfactory. I have sent a letter to Howard Johnson telling them of the poor quality hotel they have their name attached to. I would discourage anyone from staying at this place. It is not worth the money, or even the free night from trip rewards.

Just a quick note to let everyone out there know what a delightful visit I had during my stay in Lethbrigde. After driving down what appeared to be a main street of sorts (Mayor Magrath Dr.), I happened upon a well appointed little place on the West side of the road, right next to a new Mexican Restaurant. That property was the Bridge Town House. It looked very stately from the outside, so we thought we'd try it out. It proved equally satisfying to the non-visual senses when all was said and done. The staff were excellent, and the service outstanding. I highly recommend this property to anyone who may be passing through, or in Lethbridge for an exteneded stay. You won't be sorry!John M.Toronto, ON
