We r a family of five - husband, wife, 3 small kids...we got two adjoining rooms for a great rate and it was fine. We were passing thru on r way to CA and we got what we wanted, cool rooms, comfy beds and a free breakfast! If u r on a tight budget...this is the place 4 u. didn't see any bugs, no gross bathrooms, clean sheets - yes!

The first room we were given had a broken door handle and wouldn't open. When I told the girl behind the desk, she said that I had to lift the handle up to open the door. Since I'm paying good money for a certain expected standard of services and would rather not have to work around their broken equipment, I asked for another room. Got the attitude! The new room was run down and dispite the twin beds, it only had linen for one person. The room was bare, unattractive and NOT worth the Hotwire price I had pre-paid for the room. HoJo use to stand for quality....!

Coming from a big family we often have visitors. We had some relatives coming to town and they needed a place to stay. They were a couple with 4 children. I made a call the hotel and found they have rooms that connect to each other. So I booked 2 rooms next to each other. It worked out for them nicely.
I thought they had a continental breakfast but the kids were telling me about the waffles that they made and the Fruit Loops they ate. They said they ate a lot!
So if you have family coming in to town that would be a nice place suggest.

Well folks if you don't mind the cockroaches in every bed then this place is for you!
As for my wife and I, we just don't like sharing the bed with la cucaracha!!
I know what your thinking, why not just move to another room??
Well, the motel clerk said,"I don't know which rooms they sprayed and didn't spray", and we didn't bring our dice with us.
So if your looking for a good cucaracha motel, Howard Johnsons of Yuma, AZ, is it! Sleep tight tonight and don't let the cucaracha's bite!

My father in law was ill and our whole family journeyed to Yuma and we stayed at the Howard Johnson. They were great!! The staff was VERY helpful and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are older but have been remodled and are very clean. Not only would we stay here again but we are as we will visit again in the fall. If you want a hotel with a friendly atmosphere and a great staff you want this one!!!
