I stayed in this hotel on a Leger coach holiday in February with 3 friends, we are all aged 17-18. There were only places available on the silver service tour when we booked and in hindsight it was a great choice as the hotel was fantastic! I would recommend upgrading to anyone thinking of taking this coach tour as the price difference was only abot ?40 and you also get more leg room on the coach - remember it's a VERY long journey!
We had two twin rooms, but annoyingly they were on different floors! This was irritating as we were sharing adapter plugs and hair dryers and straighteners but this may have been organised by the tour operator not the hotel itself.
The reception staff were polite and other people on the tour said their English was very good, this did not apply to me as I am a French student. I would recommend learning a bit of French before you travel though as the French do appreciate it, even if it is terrible!
The rooms were big and spotlessly clean, the towels were changed daily and the sheets were always fresh. If anything, the housekeeping staff were too efficient as when we left make-up out by the bathroom sink they put it back in our make-up bags, which caused a bit of a mix-up!
It took us a while to work out how to turn the lights on (you have to put your room card into a bit on the wall) and there was no signs telling us about this! We spent a while in the dark flicking all of the switches until somebody in the tour group worked it out and explained it to us!! This system caused us and many others in the group to lock their room keys inside as the door locks as soon as you close it and it's easy to forget that your key is in the light bit. It was also worrying that when we went down to reception to tell them, they gave us another key without any questions, not even checking our names!
The bathroom was huge and it was nice that the toilet was separate which avoided the 'crossing your legs whilst your friend showers' scenario! There was a bath with a shower fitting, the shower had a good pressure and there was always hot water.
The beds were comfortable, although the bedding was blankets instead of quilts and the beds were made so tight I literally had to strip the bed and remake it to even get into it!
The restaurant area was nice and the buffet breakfast was excellent! There were fresh bread rolls and croissants on the tables and then a variety of hot and cold breakfast items on the buffet, the fruit salad was particularly good! The buffet gets replenished regularly and we discreet;y took a few things with us for lunch on some days!
We had read the reviews here before travelling and we also experienced a wedding at the hotel. We returned from a meal at about midnight to be followed to our room by some French boys who invited us to the wedding reception!! We sat chatting to them in the hotel lobby for about an hour and it looked as though the recption hadn't even started! This was at about 1 in the morning!! We had to turn in because we were leaving early the next morning but we did not hear a sound from the wedding party at all during the night.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Paris and we were told by our tour guides that there was nothing in the area (when we didn't want to pay for the optional excursions...)!! In fact, there are several restaurants, one even has a Michelin star! We did not eat there as the menu did not have a vegetarian option, but we did have a very nice meal in an Indian restaurant which was really cheap as we all ordered the set menu (they had a meat or vegetarian option luckily!). Being a young group of girls we got quite a lot of male attention everywhere in Paris, mainly from people wanting to sell us something! This worked to our advantage at this restaurant as we got a free bottle of wine!
On the first full day of our break we went on the tour operator's free excursion into Paris therefore we travelled by coach. This took quite a long time as there was so much traffic!! On the second day we travelled into the city independantly, we took the bus from the stop minutes away from the hotel to Grand Defense and from there caught the metro. This was actually a lot quicker because Paris has so many bus lanes and the public transport is so efficient! It was also really cheap; we bought a single ticket on the bus and then at Grand Defense we went to the ticket office and bought an all day ticket which covered the whole of Paris. Public transport is even cheaper in France if you're under 26 (which seems a random age) so make sure to mention this when you're buying a ticket.
All in all, you cannot fault this hotel apart from a few miniscule gripes!

I stayed at this hotel with Leger Holidays over Easter 2008. What Leger don't tell you and neither do Holiday Inn is there is a charge for using the safes in the rooms. Its only 1 euro a night which is no big deal but it there is no mention of this by reception when you check in and neither is there any mention when you check out. It only comes to light about 5 weeks later when it suddenly appears on your credit card bill. I used the Leger Silver service which was OK., but, if they charge ?40 more for a very basic service I dread to think what a standard hotel must be like

a little remote without your own transport but nice and quiet if you want a night in, only two restaurants which we did not visit but charming meal served outside at Holiday Inn, and speed rabbit pizza is a 5 minute stroll if you are on a tight budget .
rooms very clean but decor a bit orange for my liking, staff are polite and friendly - at least they are if you try a few words of french, and treat them nicely - as one should ! we had a pleasant stay with no problems, and the restaurant manager charmingly allowed us to have the room service menu (which was very good) outside in the eating area in the evening for a light meal, we would go back.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn, Bougival, as part of a Leger package holiday. I therefore paid a lot less than the quoted 225 E per night tarif listed in the hotel for my single room.
The room was nice and clean, with a small but good quality bathroom suite (including bath, shower, sink & WC). Lots of white towels and complementary soap, bubble bath and shampoo. Nice big double bed.
There is a safe in the closet, but this is operated by using a debit or credit card to "swipe" it open and closed. Seemed odd to me as one of the main things I wanted to put in a safe was my credit card!
The door is opened by a swipe card "key" which you then need to put in the slot on the wall, otherwise the lights don't work!
There's a TV and computer keyboard attached, but I didn't use it. Also a phone by the bed.
No kettle in the room. There's a mini-bar containing the most expensive bottle of water I came across on my trip to Paris: 3.8E! Twice the price of water from vending machines on the Metro/Railway in Paris.
Breakfast was included in my trip, so I helped myself to the fruit, yoghurt, sausages, bacon and luke warm scrambled eggs. There's also cereal, bread roll & croissant, and coffee and tea.
Staff were friendly, especially if you say "bonjour" to them at breakfast. And plates were cleared away promptly by waiters/waitresses.
There is a bus stop outside the hotel where you can catch the No 7 bus which goes to the Railway Station. Station staff are incredibly helpful and I recommend taking the train into and out of Paris as it's really cheap and efficient (3.5 E from Bougival to the Eiffel Tower). Taxis are however tres expensive - 11 E from Station to Hotel, so try to take the bus ... otherwise it's a 1/2 hr walk.
I really enjoyed my stay in Paris and the Holiday Inn was a good base. Wish I'd had time to explore the town a bit more.
Only down-side was on my first night there was a lot of noise from the construction company next door.

Bougival hotel

The stay was one week each in Oct, Nov, and Dec. If you are a nonsmoker, this hotel is not for you. The smell of tobacco reaks all over, even in your no-smoking room. Beds are low, couches are not in every room, never had one, clean enough, but had to ask for sheets to be changed after three days with the same sheets and the floor to be vacuumed. The food is not the best and overpriced. Don't raid the minibar refrigerator, riduculously overpriced. Go out of the hotel, turn left and walk to many restaurants for much better food at half the price. Remember that it is a mostly business hotel. Take the bus into LaDefense for shopping, eating and views, and the metro into Paris for sightseeing, shopping and dining. The village of Bougival is a great one day walking tour out of the hotel.
