Centrally located for the Town centre, minutes from the shops and transport links.
The Hotel is modern, clean and the room was smartly furnished. Breakfast included in our deal was very good, certainly well above aveage.
Some building work going on nearby, so their own parking is not available, but a public car park adjacent to the hotel for which they foot the bill.
Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for for three nights, for an event at CapGemini offices nearby.
- Arrival/look and feel. Solid but uninspiring. Check in staff friendly, efficient, well placed to respond to queries.
- Room. Big, comfortable, nicely decorated. The pillow menu is an excellent touch, and service was prompt.
- Facilities. Wifi is Swisscom, which I think is overpriced - but coverage was good and there was a hard LAN connection for those who needed it. Good iron/trouser-press in room. Good TV.
- Food. Room service was well, well above average - a midnight chicken burger, normally the last resort of the hungry but damned, was pleasant and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also above average, restaurant is overpriced and I would advise finding somewhere in town unless eating alone (as I was for one night) or in a hurry. Bar prices were steep.
This hotel has worked out its market and hits it square on. How town centre business hotels should be done.

I stayed in the hotel last June on business and had to stay in the area again in March. The staff in the hotel are outstanding friendly and helpfull. I was told by the duty manager that the managment had changed in the last six months and that there focus was on offering high level of service and qaulity and this was the case. An excellent breakfast buffet and the food qaulity has also improved.
There is some building work next to the hotel which was explained to me on check in has I had to park my car in the Car park next to the hotel, but the hotel do pay for the charge. Overall one of the best holiday inn's I have stayed in.

Stayed here on 29th February. Very friendly and helpful reception. They explained there was building going on next door and tried to provide a quiet room for me and noise wasnt too bad. Room very clean and lovely breakfast with lots of choice.
