We were stuck in this hotel by Continental Airlines when our connecting flight was missed due to plane engine problems. When we walked in to the lobby, I didn't think it was going to be half bad, but I was wrong! If I had known that this was the place we were going to be stuck in, even if only for four hours, I would have gladly slept in the airport. It was so gross in the room that I didn't want to touch anything. It's my understanding from the sign in the front of the hotel that they rent this hotel by the day, week or month which to me is not a good sign. The towels in the bathroom had obviously been used by a previous guest and not changed and the kitchen was dirty. There were holes in my sheets and the beds were gross. The mattresses were stained from what I could see and I can't imagine what they looked like under the sheet. We were only in this room for four hours and my children who have asthma coughed from the time that we walked into the room until hours after we left. They only had two baby beds in the whole place and they were being used, so my one year old had to sleep in a bed with me. They did offer to give me an extra pillow and blanket so that she could sleep on the floor, but I thought I would
pass on that offer. All that I wanted to do when I left that place was take a hot shower with a lot of soap! They did offer a poor example of a continental breakfast, but with the way the rooms looked, I was too afraid to eat anything they had to offer. There are plenty of other hotels around this area that I wouldn't waste your time or money on this place.
With all that being said, the two guys working the front desk were nice.

I stayed at this place while I was fulfilling a contract. The supposed non-smoking rooms was so smoky I got a sinus infection the first week. I left the fans on and the windows opened the first weekend while I went home. When I returned, I stopped at the desk and INSISTED that the manager come with me to the room. It was still uninhabitable. I was moved to a slightly less smoky room which was still very bad.
This place is supposedly being remodeled so they shut off the water every day between 11 and 4. The TV service is substandard , The laundry facilities are filthy, and In general the place sounds like a war zone at night with folks running and hollering. If you have any other options, stay somewhere else.

Be afraid, be very afraid if you have the unfortunate opportunity to stay at this place! My husband and I were placed there by our airlines after missing connections. The room was old and totally used up. Refrigerator was rusted and dirty. The floor was disgustingly unclean especially between stove and counter. Bathroom fixtures were rusted, chipped, pock marked and the cleanliness was suspect. Bed had tattered sheets with make-up on one pillow, so again I worried about the last time the linens were washed. My husband went to the desk to ask for a better room and at the very least a new pillowcase. He was told that we DID have one of the better rooms and it would take aprox. an hour to get a new pillow! What???? He came back and immediatly got on the phone and got us booked at another hotel. So we were in the room for only about an hour. One hour is all it took to size up this establishment...A DUMP!!!

My family and I recently stayed the night of 08/08/05 through 08/09/05 at the Lexington Hotel and Suites located at 16410 North IH 45 in Houston, Texas. In regards to my staty, I would like to say that I have stayed at a Motel 6 that was nicer than this hotel. To begin with the original room asighned was dirty, outdated and run down. I asked for a refund in order to look for a hotel elsewhere, but was upgraded by the manager. The upgrade received consisted of a bigger bed and furnishings that were about 10 years newer, but still 20 years old. During the stay, the air conditioner would not keep the entire room cool as there were no vents between the room. My children froze in order to keep the bedroom comfortable. The night of the stay we listened to upstairs guest run repeatedly up and down the stairs at all hours of the morning and listened to their lound bass music. We called the front desk and were assured that the problem would be rectified, but it never was. The bed in the bedroom was broken at the headboard and the room had a musty, dirty odor to it. The next morning we went to eat at the continental breakfast, where we encountered the non-English speaking attendant. After arguing with her about that fact that we were staying there and our children had already obtained a card from the front desk indicatting that we were allowed to eat there, it turns out we were right and were allowed to eat after all. We ate the cold bagel and mini muffin, which I consider the equivalent to a convenience store breakfast, not a continental breakfast. In closing I would like to state that this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at for the money spent. I once stayed at a hotel that cost $17 including tax and it was about the equivalent of this hotel.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, small kitchen and sitting area - clean. Good location right off the highway. Nice pool area, decent lobby. The advertised breakfast is included in the rate, but is not worth it. One morning, only apples and 2 types of cold cereal, coffee, juice. The staff( at breakfast ) did not understand english. The second morning no better. We did not go to breakfast at the hotel after that. We stayed 6 nights. The rooms were not cleaned until the end of the day, sometimes not till 6 pm or later. (The housekeeping staff was very nice)When we called the front desk to ask for more towels( 2 different nights), we were told to come and get them ourselves. The staff at the front reception was young and I think not properly trained in customer service. They were civil, but that was it. The room itself was okay, the rate was good, the breakfast was bad( not at all as advertised), and the overall service was bad. I did not complain to the management because it would not have made a difference. I will not stay there again.
