I recently stayed here on a business trip to the area and have to say unless you cant find another hotel it is really not worth the money. Rooms are adequate and service ok but the hotel is located about 3kms from city center on a main road with no local or immediate attractions. Bearing this in mind they charge 7Euros a night for parking! This seems bizzare to me as I would assume parking to be free here. Also a charge of 17Euros per day for internet access is in a word scandalous! The total cost of my stay for 3 nights which didnt include evening meals or drinks was 609 Euros which is incredibly expensive for what is no more than a 2-3star hotel, I certainly wont be returning here, there are much better hotels in Heidelberg itself and all I can say is that the Holiday Inn measures up to a travel lodge rather than a hotel, again room and bed comfortable but building and decor somewhat depressing not to mention over priced!

Stayed for 2 nights while on business.
On arriving at 7pm on a Wednesday night found there were no normal rooms left. So was upgraded to "Junior Suite".
Room was very large with a bedroom (no tv!!) and a lounge area with sofa and huge arm chair.
Ate at the restaurant the first night and was surprised that the food was pretty reasonable (26 euros for soup, curry and a beer). It is more expensive than other restaurants... but it's a hotel restaurant in the middle of no where.
Breakfast was very good. Excellent choice.
Walldorf is about a mile away but the busy road / no road lighting means walking is out of the question.
Internet in the room very expensive. 10 euro for an hour. 17 euro for a 24 hour period.

Won't choose this again!

Only two positives; very kind staff and two swimming pools for the kids to enjoy. The rooms were small, the hotel was too far away from the beautiful city of Heidelberg (our fault; we had not been there before). Our biggest complaint was the extremely expensive meals at the hotel... even though "kids eat free!", the adults pay an unbelievable price for a mediocre meal. The night we chose the "buffet", half of the items were missing and never replenished. The two nights we stayed here cost more than the five other nights in other hotels in Germany combined.
