Stay in Turin quite often but the hotel I usually use was full. This place was OK, breakfast a bit dissapointing and the room just OK but it was very central. Parking was a bit tricky in the street but I understand they have an underground car park. Not so bad but would try elsewhere first.

I was on a work trip and my Italian business partners booked this hotel for me. Given that Holiday Inn is a reputable hotel chain, I expected polite and helpful service but was instead horrified. I was having a terrible cough. After returning from a day of work, I wanted to drink some warm water. So I rang up the receptionist at around 11pm, his impolite reply was "no kettle, can't help you, everything is closed now. you have to request earlier for this kind of service". Isn't room service at big hotels meant to be 24 hours?!!!!
That's not the end. During breakfast, there's no waitress around in sight. We had to self service. When checking out, my boss asked the receptionist to prepare the bill while we bring down our luggage and was dismissed with a rude "yeah yeah, later" when the receptionist was obviously not doing anything else.
To my dismay, when I returned to Singapore, I realized I had left something of personal importance in the hotel. When I called up, the answer was "can't help you now. you'll have to send an email or fax". To date, I had not received any reply to my email.
So beware, all travellers!

we have just returned from Turin and the Holday Inn was a good base for seeing the City. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful and the room was very clean and a good size. Our room overlooked the side street and there was a little bit of noise but nothing to worry about really.I think the rooms that face into the courtyard would be a little better.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing one morning -coffee cold not much selection but i mentioned it to reception and the breakfast was good every day after that.

Location is OK. Right in the middle of the city.
Taxi from airport cost you about €30. Airportbus is €5 if you buy ticket in advance. In the bus is € 0.50 more. Airportbus is about 5 min. walk from hotel.
Stayed in this hotel a weekend in november.
Nothing to do in this hotel. Almost no guests. Maybe 10.
No barman? No staff at breakfast. Only 1 receptionist.
At breakfast both mornings no staff for the half hour I eat there.
Buffet style. Good choice for italian hotel. No eggs/sausage.
No cappuccino.
I had a non breakfast rate, but at check out i discovered that breakfast was in the rate.
My prepaid rate was €84/night. But my cc was never charged.
I used WIFI, rate €15 for 24 hr. or €5 for 2 hr.
The connection was not very stable. Many times the connection was gone and I had to restart again.
Room was OK. Jacuzzi in the bathroom.
Overall an average Holiday Inn. No 4 star standard.
Torino is a beautiful shoppers paradise. Wunderfull to stroll along with the Italians on a saterday eve through there beautiful old shopping arcades.
Go to the Cafe de Torino. On the groundfloor before the cafe is a bull. Step on his balls! Brings you luck!
Enjoy youre coffee.

I stayed at this hotel during the Olympic Games mid-February, so I expect my experience will have been somewhat different from those travelling at other times.
The best thing about this hotel is that is so conveniently located, right in the centre of Torino. If you are travelling from the Airport, avoid getting on a train, as you will have to make 1 change in order to get to the Holiday. Instead, get on an Airport bus because it takes you very close to the hotel and it's just a short walk from where they drop you off. It's also much cheaper.
Right across from the hotel is the Porta Nuova station, which is perfect if you intend to travel to places outside Torino. It's from outside here that you catch all the trams which can take you everywhere across the city, although it is much nicer to walk as most things are very close by.
As for the hotel itself, it's fine. It's just a typical Holiday Inn really. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My room was a medium size with a nice bathroom. The shower was fantastic, but the room tended to flood when the bathwater was let out!
Breakfast was good - buffet style and all you can eat. It consisted of pastries, fruit, cheese and some meats, as well as hot coffee.
This hotel is perfect for those who want to be right in the middle of Torino, as well as those who want the option to be able to take excursions elsewhere.
