This place is close to the airport but it is so really in need of some remodeling. The room was worn out and disgusting. The shower had mold in it. The toilet had the white sanitary strip on it but when Iifted the lid I was surprised to see a curly black hair on the toilet seat. I was grossed out by the place. The chairs look lumpy and worn like they should have been thrown out 10 years ago. Its a dirty little hotel, and I will never go back.

average hotel, good restaurant, across from national, ditch your rental

I've stayed here numerous times over the years, but seems to have neglected to do a review, so here it goes....
My caveat is I use this hotel to return the rental car the night before the flight (if I have a morning flight), stay the night and take the hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle leaves every 20 minutes from 430am (to midnight?). It works great for those who don't want to be in a hurry returning your car, and taking the rental shuttle. The hotel is average Holiday Inn, maybe in need of some remodeling, but with comfortable beds. The hallways are narrow, the check in area is also a little cramped, the rooms rather tight, but overall a nice hotel. The restaurant is expensive, and menu limited, but the food is excellent. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. This hotel is probably the most convenient to the airport of the Holiday Inn group. Also, it is the nicest hotel within walking distance from National rental (Hilton being the other, except you have to walk further after ditching your rental). My rating is average for hotel, excellent for location and convenience near airport, above average for food. This hotel is not recommended if you intend to use during a long stay in St. Louis area. Freeway access is excellent going/coming East or West on I-70.

This is my third time here. The walls are paper thin. The rooms are worn. The beds are lumpy with the springs poking through. Everything is worn. The bathrooms are very small and have mildew. My sink was cracked and the toilet wobbled.
There are some good eats close by. The desk staff are mostly nice, but very slow.
I won't even comment on that "art".

I think this hotel was lovely. Airport hotels can sometimes be in not so great locations, but this one wasn't so bad. I loved the art work, which is a great story in of itself. The hotel is filled with wonderful paintings that were done by the father of the owners of the hotel who started painting in his 60's. His work is absolutely awe inspiring. The airport shuttle was quick to arrive. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities necessary. The restaurant was just OK; in the lower level (AKA the basement) which was kind of weird. I took the shuttle to the airport to get to the Metro Link to go downtown, which was quick, easy, and inexpensive. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I have stayed here several times over the years. The staff is VERY courteous. The rooms are definitely better than average. The free shuttle runs more frequently than at some hotels. You can walk to a couple of spots for a simple meal. I cannot imagine anyone paying as little as $30 and not being happy. When I compare this hotel to many I have stayed at in Europe, it is the best bargain imaginable. I have recommended this hotel to friends who were also pleased.
