We stay at this particular hotel regularly as we travel from Missouri to Colorado often. It's the 1/2 way point for us and a great incentive for the kids who love the water slide. Unfortunately, these past two visits (one week apart) were not as nice as other visits. I understand this comes with the territory, but both nights there were convention/family reunions going on during our stay...so that left the pool WAY OVER CROWDED. The parents who were there were not remotely interested in their children's behavior or manners, which made for a very dangerous situation with the slide. We had to inform the workers several times to come and enforce the rules since the parents wouldn't. Next, our car topper leaked rain water, so I had to wash many our clothes. It took me over 5 hours to dry two loads of laundry. The dryer just never got hot enough. Then to top it off our bathroom made me sick to my stomach. There was what looked like blood wiped on the walls across from the toilet and the shower heads had a pink/red build-up on them that made me cringe. The beds seemed clean...but the pullout (on both occasions) had some youngsters' toy crammed in it, making me wonder if they really change the sheets...and if they do, does anyone pay attention to the details? I would love to say we had a wonderful stay....but it was certainly not something I would recommend to a friend....even though the slide is a blast for the kids. I hope they read this and take a hint on the cleanliness.....I have to have a clean bathroom....it's just not something to compromise on!!

We arrived very late.(9:00) The hotel rooms were clean and beds were comfortable...well for a hotel bed in a holiday inn. The pool was closed and we were told it would open at 8:00 in the morning. We got up early to let the kids use the pool and then were told that the slide did not open until 9:00. We decided to go get dressed and eat at the hotel restaurant. The food was good and was cheap with the coupon you get with the room. The slide still was not open at 9:30 when we finally decided to load the car and leave. It opened at 9:40 when we were checking out ( an hour and 40 min from the time we were told at check in) It was a big let down to the kids and we had to leave. I would have spent the money at a different hotel for a more comfortable bed if iI would have known the kids would not get to use the pool.

My mom, two kids and I just returned from a 2 night stay at the Salina Holiday Inn, we had a fun time and a good hotel stay. The Holiday Inn was very clean and we had nice rooms in the Holidome.
There was a couple of minor issues-burned out light bulb-non working phone-but both were corrected promptly. The pool had an awesome waterslide-very very fun! The pool was large and clean. The hot tub was oddly cold-have no clue why.
The breakfast buffet was okay, but an awesome deal as we received 50 percent off coupons for each morning of our stay. One of the best features was the super friendly staff-we were thanked twice for staying with them-and the front desk staff was wonderful and helpful. The only other downside is that we were near the elevator that had a very loud ring to it when it was on the bottom floor-kind of annoying at 3am. Otherwise, overall a good stay. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn during spring break on our way to Dallas. The hotel was large but exceptionally quiet--we felt like the only ones there! The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and friendly. The best part was the waterslide--the kids had so much fun and actually talked me into going (I hate to swim!) The breakfast was fair but servers were friendly It was great having the free wireless internet ...and to think we actually had to pay extra for this service at a 4-star hotel in Dallas! Not much to see in town but did travel 30 min east to see the Eisenhower birthplace/museum in Abilene.
