This was absolutely a greta place to stay. The front desk staff was very efficient and friendly, explained everything about the hotel right away (where the elevator and staris where, what time the bar is open and happy hour, restaraunt hours, etc...), so you feel well-informed before you ever get to your room. The room was not overly spacious, but you never felt cramped either, especially with the oversized bathroom area. There wasn't anything fancy, but all the things you'd expect from a hotel done right. Even though I was there the same weekend as a major church convention, there was plenty of parking and the place was not very crowded or loud. My only problem with the hotel is that it is a few miles from the city center, but that's no big deal, especially since I know my way around the area well,. But that's just a warning for travlelers who may be wanting to be close to the casinos or downtown.

I was suprised. We chose this hotel due to recomendations of family as our group rented several rooms for 2 to 3 nights to attend a nearby grauation. I have come to expext HI to be overpirced for a midddle of the raod hotel and usually dated or not well maintained. Well this one is much better than expected. The Hotel has been undergoing a complete renovation and all the rooms seem to be finished. According to staff the lobby is the last area still to be renovated. Our room was large with all new funiture and very quiet. The beds were wonderful and housekeeping seem to be doing a good job. I had no problems with the other staff at the front desk, but some in our party were not as pleased. The prices were reasonalbe and we were even given a discount from the group porgram arranged by the college even though we had made our reservation past the deadline. Needless to say this was very nice and left a good impression. I found the lobby to be clean, large, and welcoming, but I can see how they might wish to update the area. Over all the property was good and I will gladly return. Like one other reviewer, I found the elvators to have a somewhat musty with an unusal smeel. I can not imagine what causes this. I also encountered a long time friend staying at this hotel with several of his business associates and they stay for weeks at a time. They never stay at the best and most pricey place in a city, but at the same time they always expect and get good service and nice accomidations, so I can say if they chose this one it is a good buy and worth your consideration. They also recommend the in-house restaurant. My wife and I were so pleased with our 2 nights that we both were thinkng this would be a good place for a quick and quiet weekend getaway. The location is near the airport and on the west side of town and at first following the local roads to the hotel can be confusing. Be sure to listen carefully, if given directions. and read the billboard directions. Once you arrive you will find the location to be rather convient to most of the city.

This is an older hotel, but fairly well maintained. I'd have no problem staying there again. The indoor/outdoor heated pool is not warm enough for winter swimming. Friendly helpful staff.

This hotel was good. Stayed here for 3 weeks for business trip. Locations good. Nearby expressways. Many restaurants within a few miles or less. iHop is almost walking distance, Desk Help was accomodating. Washer/Dryers available. Rooms Nice/Clean. Fully functionable central A/C in rooms. Hallways and esp. elevators I cannot say the same about. Elevators were like a sauna & had a weird stench to them. That was the only neg. thing. Frig & Micro was in room. Paid $85 a night.. Good showers. Nice thick towels and Pantene Shamp/Cond. Breakfast is good/lots variety for addt'l charge. TIP: If U dont want maid to mistake your pocket change on desk for a tip, put it away!!! hahahahah. Area felt pretty secure. Police/Security presence in parking lots & also well lit.

We pricelined this hotel. We didn't anticpate staying in Shreveport so it was last minute. It had been years since I'd stayed in a Holiday Inn so I was a wee bit apprehensive. I was pleasantly surprised however. We had a very late arrival and when I checked in, the agent knew me by name. He was professional yet really friendly and made me feel right at home. Our room was nice enough. It had two queen beds and it was clean and comfortable. It was certainly adequate. The bathroom was very clean. We had a quiet, uneventful stay which was just what we needed. The next morning a receipt had been slipped under the door. I generally do a thorough job of doing my homework but when I booked this hotel I was unorganized and hurried and I apparently pricelined more than the hotel was worth. So, if you are looking into staying in Shreveport, it's worth looking for rates through the hotel directly. Lesson learned. We didn't check out any of the other amenities as we were anxious to get on the road but suffice it to say, we were satisfied with the Holiday Inn.
