They have from time to tome to check the hotels in a chain! I was in Cyprus for business and the my company booked this hotel in order to satisfy me!First of all with my entrance to the room there was a small rat in my bathroom that i managed to kill with a small fight. i asked the reception to come and clean it but nopbody cleaned that fro 3 days!!!!!! The personel in the reception was very rude and old by night and they asked for crazy things! Finally in the breakfast they wanted to charge me extra money for a greek coffee (they do not charge for this to any hotel!!!)food in breakfast was very poor! Not mopre than 2 stars for this hotel and only because it has a very nice view ...that you pay extra for!of course!!!!

This was a return visit to the HI in Limassol. We were upgraded to an Executive seaview room on the 6th floor with a grand sea view. We had free the Red Arrows daily practice over the bay which was of interest.. This floor has been recently refurbished which is part of the HI scheme. The hotel does a discount scheme should you chose to eat dinner there for more than two nights. There are rrstaurants nearby but the better ones are a bit of a walk away, It is in my opinion quite safe walking around the hotel area. The beach is Ok but either side of the hotel are other beaches of average quality. We were impressed that staff remembered us from last year and greeted us as returning guests.

Its a first for me to be inspired to write a review whilst im still staying at a hotel!
Sad i know!
The gin and tonic is certainly helping soften my review as it probably would have been worse!
We booked this as a 3 day stay with our priority reward points as we frequently stay in HI hotels with work.
Some reward, the hotel is in a good location right on limassol beach and has a nice refurbished pool and bar area on the lower ground floor but they are seriously missing a trick!
The pool and location certainly do not make up for the rooms however!!
I have stayed in some very poor quality hotel rooms but this place gets the biscuit for naff quality and dated dirty rooms.
It is like a cross between a 1970's static caravan and a caribbean chalet hut!
Filthy dirty stained carpets both in the coridoors and the rooms combines with extremely dated caribbean chintz and old ratan furniture.
I have never stayed in such a poor quality, cheap and dirty room even on Ko San road in Bangkok!
Prices are rediculously high, 10 euros for 2 chocolate milks!
Food likewise is very expensive and poor quality.
Avoid at all costs until refurbished.

The rooms were not clean enough, especially the flat sheets as we found hairs upon our arrival. We were asked the reception to change them and they did this for us.
Except this all other things were gr8, Fantastic sea and pool view from our balcony (we booked a double room - sea view)
Bathroom was clean and big, with clean towels every morning.
The food at the hotel though is a bit expensive and the variety is limited at the buffet.

While doing business in Nicosia, I took a weekend to the south end of the Island to the Holiday Inn. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel being disapointed with the Holiday Inn in the captial. A nice sea view balcony with a good pool, located along the tourist strip (out of town, but many diverse places to eat). I advise you have a car - parking is free but limited places. For a decent price, it is a good place to enjoy the island and could bring the family there one day. I spent much of my time on my balcony working, but the view and air were a very nice change of pace if you wanto to get out of town for a while. It is close enough to the capital that the next time I visit Cyprus I might consider commuting.
