Holiday Inn Hyannis was clean and near everything. Only downside is that it is on a busy road rt132. During the hot times like July 4th when we stayed, the traffic was crazy but expected. The rooms were clean and had sizeable bathrooms. There is no outdoor pool, only indoor but it is a very nice one. Would stay again.

With all that is available on the Cape for accomodations, the Holiday Inn--Hyannis is simply not a good value. (Nice: the pool area, renovated rooms, lounge...Not so nice: the jacuzzi is too shallow, poor window views, no continental breakfast unless you pay extra for it, the shower did not properly drain, steep staircases) We happened to book our stay during some sort of a youth soccer outing. They were very loud in the pool area and in the hallways and awake very early. I think next time we will book our stay further in advance so that we can at least enjoy our money's worth in a private jacuzzi and a continental breakfast. I give the H-I Hyannis a C minus at best. I think the reason they are remaining competitive is that people either don't realize what other options there are on the Cape or they book last minute like we did. Shame on us!

First off the rooms and this hotel are not smelly as indicated in other reviews. I even went out of my way to walk around the hotel to see if anything smelled. I actually went in the gym, the lobby, other hallways to verify this (I had a few minutes to kill) Everything was extremely clean and the bathrooms are something that I would expect in a high-end hotel, so that was a big plus.
This is a very nice hotel with a retro feel to it. The rooms were very nice as was the lobby and pool areas. We did the breakfast buffet in the morning and for a family of 4 it cost me $19.95 (kids under 12 eat free) - the food was ok and was, as one would expect at a Holiday Inn.
I would stay here again and would recommend this to friends and family.

just returned from a weekend in Hyannis. I heard that this hotel was renovated so we decided to stay for a cpl of nights. The lobby is beautiful and the staff was very friendly. The rooms are another story. We were given a non smoking room, the hallways stink like smoke and the rooms stink as well. I asked them at the front desk to be moved and the front desk agent said all the hallways smell like smoke!! I had to hold my breath to get to my room...no kidding. I would have checked out but everything in the area was sold out for a convention. I felt bad for the front desk agents as the smell was beyond there control and they said that alot of people complain about it.
