For the price of the room i would rather go to another hotel. It is a old building we had to wait for 5 min for hot water to start working. The blanket looked like a dog had been chewing on it. The food was good but over priced. There are alot of hotels in the area for a better price and a better stay.

Stayed here to be close to MD Anderson Hospital. I had stayed here several years ago with poor results. This time was different. The staff was exceptionally helpful, the newly remodeled hotel shows sign of care and consideration. The room was meticulously clean and all the plumbing had been modernized. There was a small problem with the toilet in the bathroom when I arrived. I called the front desk and maintenance was there within minutes and made the repair. We did not use the dining facilities, but hey appeared clean and neat. We did use the pool and shirlpool and it was fine. I am staying again at the hotel in one more week. They have van service to the medical center beginning at 6:30 am each morning.

Best hotel for a medical stay in Houston!!

We stayed in this hotel because one of us was an outpatient and potential inpatient at MD Anderson Hotel. We were thrilled with the personal, warm attention that all of the personnel gave us and made us feel like we were part of a very warm family. This included the desk staff, the bellmen (also drivers for the hotel shuttle), and the personnel in the restaurant and "sports page" bar. Because of their responsiveness, we feel confident in booking this hotel again for a longer stay when one of us will be here for surgery. By the way, contact the hotel directly and ask about special rates for people coming to Houston for medical care. You will have to pay very much less for a room if you do this.
We were especially thankful for the hotel shuttle and drivers. The hotel is only about 10 minutes from MD Anderson, and the shuttle is available from 6:30 AM to 10 PM. You can also take the shuttle to shops and restaurants within a five-mile radius of the hotel.
This hotel has recently been renovated, and we found the rooms and beds comfortable, as well as tastefully decorated. However, there are direct blower air conditioning units beneath the windows that can be a little noisy, but you are able to control the temperature of your room easily. There is also free wi-fi in the rooms.
One thing for sure, the staff of this hotel is as good as you can find in a five-star hotel!!

Worst Holiday Inn ever.

Whats with Holiday inns & Houston. I stayed at the Holiday inn at the Galleria and thought it was the worst, until i landed up here. Very unfriendly staff, a hotel price that half matches the amenities, poor quality of rooms, doors, linens. Yeah its right next to the Reliant stadium, but i wont put up with this quality even if i am here for the game. This is the worst hotel you can ever stay in.
This will be the last time i will every stay in a Holiday Inn.

The place to stay for a Texans game

Stayed here for the Broncos/Texans game and frankly..was worried a bit about it due to other reviews I've seen. The fears proved to be totally unfounded.
We had a room on the 11th floor which had a pretty good view of the city. The room itself was very spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom, like the rest of the room, looked as if it had been recently remodeled.
Another pleasant surprise was the food. We had decent room service with food delivered in a timely fashion. The quality was very good as well. The hotel bar sees little action except on gameday but that isn't necessarily such a bad thing as it became an ideal place for a quiet evening drink.
Speaking of gameday, this hotel is right next to Reliant Stadium with a back gateway to exits right out into the stadium's parking lot...you can't get much more convienent than that.
Another myth to dispell here is that this hotel is supposedly in a "bad" neighborhood. This may have been the case when a lot of the people displaced by Katrina were living in the Astrodome, but that situation is long over with by now. We walked about to nearby restuarants unhassled and without fear.
