Stayed here in April 2008 having flown up on a trip to look at rental properties. I had three year old and 10 week old daughters and spent a lot of time in the hotel with them while husband was working.
The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Breakfast time someone always came to take the baby for a wander to allow me time to eat my breakfast and sort out the toddler. Kids eat free so we had no worries about choosing something she wouldn't eat. Again at dinner the baby was cuddled and cooed at and generally entertained to allow us time to eat and talk.
We had a fantastic view of the runway and with the aid of Teletext managed to identify lots of planes and ther destinations. Granny and grandad came over to visit and stayed one night too at late notice and it was no trouble at all.
The staff made a potentially stressful trip a real pleasure.

Typical chain hotel at Glasgow airport ideally situated right across the road from arrivals & departures area - literally 2 minutes walk.
Room not particularly big. Air conditioning/heating unit in room unusable because far too noisy - it rattled. Also a whining noise - probably some fans somewhere nearby was distracting at night. My wife was disappointed there was no free shower cap - Oh well each to her own!
Bar meals a bit pricey but what you expect.
Not much else to say really.
We paid ?56.25 for a double for 2 people booked direct through Holiday Inn website a couple of months in advance - non refundable. Not bad value for an airport hotel.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn at Glasgow Airport the night before flying to Orlando for a three week holiday. We love starting off our holiday by staying at a hotel near the airport and this one could not have been bettered. Right on the doorstep of Glasgow Airport and yet you don't hear the planes.
Arrived around 7.30pm to a pleasant welcome from reception staff who upgraded us to an Executive Room. We dropped our luggage off then took our car to the long stay carpark. When we got back to the hotel we went in to the Restaurant to have a meal, it was excellent and very reasonably priced.
Our room was spotlessly clean and furnished in modern decor, bed was clean and comfortable, TV, internet access. tea/coffee facilities, fridge, extra pillows. Bathroom was great with an excellent shower, usual free toiletries.
We had a good night's sleep, got an early morning call (6am check-in time), took our luggage over to the airport, checked in then went back to the hotel for breakfast (which was included in our room rate). Excellent buffet breakfast with something for everyone from cereals, to bacon & eggs, to croissants, cheeses, hams, etc. By the time we went for our flight we felt as though we were already on holiday.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, but have never reviewed it.
We have stayed at other airport hotels but find this the most convenient.
Like every hotel there are good points and bad ones.
We like staying here because you leave your car with them, staff securely park it and it is returned to the hotel for you.
The rooms are large enough for a family and are spotlessly clean. There is BT Openzone on offer for the laptop and the usual hotel tv.
You have a two minute walk to check in and can then return for breakfast!
The bad points are that the evening meals on offer are poor and not value for money. It is always busy and the lounge is really the reception area, so it is not very comfortable for an evening stay.
We always call the hotel direct for a deal, but they are honest enough to tell you if the web offers (like holiday extras) are better.
I would not however pay the rack rate of ?150. We normally pay about ?80 - ?90 for one week and ?90 - ?100 for two weeks park and stay
If you want a bit more of the 'hotel' experience then go elsewhere like the Airport Holiday Inn. It is more expensive and if you are parking you will require to go to the expensive NCP or a secure car park. The rooms are more plush, but there is a proper restaurant and bar
On our next flight rom Glasgow I have no doubt we will be staying at the HI Express.
