Water Park and suite were fabulous. Paid $69 on HI website, included 4 water passes and breakfast. Suite was Vegas style, overlooking Water park, with balcony. Thanks to Jared and staff.

We used hotwire to book this hotel and I was not thrilled with it. We got a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds, very comfy. But when we walked in the room it was so stuffy in there so I rushed to open a window and to my dismay I found that we were stuck in a room that overlooked the hallway to the pool, so therefore there was no window for fresh air. The fan did rotate but it didn't do much more. I'm one of those people that requires fresh air. Had I known that would happen I would have asked for a window to the outside world, but how was I to know? There was also a light from the window that shone in our window the whole night, the room darkening curtains didn't close and it was just a set of sheers to try and stop this light. But the room was clean, the shower was nice, and the TV worked. Oh yeah, one more thing, the smell of cigarette smoke was whafting in from somewhere...probably the fan.

Holiday inn a great family place to stay!!

GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILIES!!
We got 2 rooms between myself, my daughter, my mother, my sister and her son. Although the hotel is alittle dated on the outside, the rooms and the entire hotel were very clean!
The pool/play area was wonderful, my daughter and nephew (7 and 6 yrs old) couldnt get enough!
The restaurant had a breakfast buffet for all the spring breakers, PLUS the kids ate free the whole time we were there. The food tasted great, we had lunch there as well, which was also fantastic!
EXTRA KUDOS to the staff, every one of them was friendly. We had extra blankets in our room within minutes of our request! Every staff member we passed in the hall greeted us....
All in all a great place to stay, not too expensive either....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
it was great, just what we were looking for for the family

It was great. I read the reviews before and was going to cancel but after going to view it we stayed and had a blast. Yes the hotel is older but they are upgrading it and the water splash area is new and super. The staff was very helpful and friendly, even the workers redoing the carpets were nice. The fact that the kids ate free added to the lovely stay. The rooms were clean and yes they too were old but clean and useful. I like the new lobby and the computer, and the new carpets. It was quiet and the food and the bar were good. Their buffet on the weekends were great. They even opened the water slides when there were a lot of kids wanting them....Now thats friendly.
I enjoyed it and others in my party agree. Go for it and enjoy.

Our Room Had Ants!!
Guest name: lhmll, Winnipeg, Manitoba
It was summer 2005 and we were expecting a newly renovated, clean, happy hotel. We didn't quite get what we expected. The entire hotel smelled of chlorine, which became a little bit overwhelming after a while. The pool was fine for little kids, but anyone older than eight would be super bored. There is a giant bucket which was fun to lie under when it poured. There was also a little green bucket which could potentially knock a toddler out. We had the poolside room at the end of the hallway (by the door and window). The rooms don't have any fridges in them so you have to bring a cooler. Our room had ants (from people having food left out, being by outside, etc. It was always very loud in the hotel and was hard to get comfortable. If you are planning on going to this hotel, I advise you to bring your own food for meals, or go to restaurants because the hotel's restaurant sucks. The kid's meal says it comes with a free sponge-bob ice pop, and we just got cheapo, low class popsicles that were freezer burnt. The meat was raw. The night before (saturday) we planned what we were going to have for breakfast on sunday morning off the menu. Sunday was buffet day (which we didn't know). We took some yogurt, and it was a week past expired. We told an employee and she said that it was fine to serve two weeks after.
I do NOT recomment staying at this hotel. It was a bad life experience.
P.S. We are a family of a mom, dad and two children (3 and 10 at that time)
