Well I didn't realize what I was getting into when I booked the room. First off the hotel is older. I didn't find it to be comfortable. But my son and I had a great time in carlsbad and all in all I wasn't too disappointed. because of the age of the hotel...more like an expensive motel because of the location....i won't be returning. but they have a fridays on site and we had a great time. it does have some unique qualities as well.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. The room was large, and very well appointed, with a balcony overlooking a manicured patio. There were a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room. The staff were efficient and pleasant. A small shortcoming: no breakfast is served, you have to walk to Ruby's across the street or, a bit further, to TipTop down the road for a solid German meal.

My husband and I were up from LA to attend a friend's birthday party. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room had a somewhat beachy smell, not too bad but enough to notice. One thing I have to say...the room and bathroom were spotless! Our room had a nice little patio that overlooked a very well-maintained courtyard. I was a little worried that there would be lots of screaming kids, as the property is close to Legoland. Happily, that was not the case. It was very quiet both in the morning and evening. Would I stay there again..probably.

We stayed at this hotel November 24, 2007 on our annual Legoland/Disneyland trip. The women at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable- lots of pillows!! They even offer a shuttle/van to Legoland that will take you when you want and will pick you up when you want. The hotel is directly across the street from a great outlet mall with a Starbucks for morning coffee. I would definetely recommend this hotel!
