I recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel whilst in Brentwood on business.
The hotel is just off the M25 and is easy to find as it's on the main road which runs through Brentwood.
I stayed in a good sized room with sofa bed. The room was very clean and the bed comfy which are my main priorities! Bathroom was typical Holiday Inn style - pretty unexciting but again clean.
Breakfast is buffet style and there was a good choice.
I do think it's very expensive though compared to other Holiday Inns I have stayed at. However, to be honest, having also checked out other hotels in Brentwood before making the booking, I think the whole area is expensive so the price probably just reflects the local market rate.

This is a standard tired Holiday Inn which, I think, is expensive for what you get. Some of the staff are rather sullen and I think the place could do with a make-over.

This place is seriously over priced for what you get!
The rooms were ok. pretty standard but the Staff left alot to be desired. We had been out all day so decided to stay at the hotel bar for the night. at 10.30 we were told no more cash would be taken and we had to put a credit card at reception and just get a tab.
Ber staff were not very friendly nor did they have alot of experience. At one stage i asked for a simple coke. i got a "i have have 8 orders then il get your coke"!
We were also told they didn't have any malibu in stock at all. Until we persisted that the girl go check. It took her 2 mins to find one. i think she was just too lazy!
The drink in the hotel is extremely over priced. Its nearly ?6 for vodka and mixer. in the town it was only ?3/4!
Checking out took close to 30mins. Due tot he fact that everyone had to pay last nights bill and make sure they only paid for what they got.. as anyone could give your room number and name at the bar. i noticed a couple of people complaining that there was more on the bill then should have been.
The breakfast was cold. and at ?14 a go not worth it.
Ok for a quick one night stay but wouldn't recommend it if you were looking for friendly helpful staff or for familys with children who want to stay at the hotel for the evening.

We booked a room in advance, arrived at the hotel, only to be told that the only room they have got has no lights. The staff reassured us that there was no other rooms available in the entire hotel. We stuck with it and see if the room with no lights was workable, but it wasn't.
After insisting that we cannot possibly stay in a room in complete darkness, the hotel staff suddenly managed to find another room (after lying to us that there wasn't another one) which was a smoking room. After explaining that my husband has asthma, they then claim to give us an 'upgraded' room, which was clearly not an upgrade as it was next door to the pitch black room.
We then went for dinner at the restaurant, but found that the a la carte menu which costs ?20 has very limited choice. The plates were extremely hot, but the waiter did not give us any warning. It was only after getting our fingers burned that the waiter then said 'by the way, the plates are hot'.
The food was not only of low quality, clearly a microwave meal, but was also overly salty. We therefore removed the optional service charge, but the waiter decided to add it on anyway. We only discovered that upon leaving. This is not right.
The lift made thundering noises and we do not feel safe using it and the stairs smelled of sick.
I am terribly disappointed to say, having been a customer of holiday inn for some years, I do not wish to ever stay with this hotel ever again. I hope they take these comments seriously.
Far from everything!

I was fooled by their website saying it's close to the station - it's not! For such a small town this felt like it was outside.
Rooms OK but noisy at night from pipes.
Again, horrible hair dryer (seems that I'm either cursed or just too picky).
Leisure facilities quite OK, enjoyed one hour in the swimming pool.
Breakfast price just to high so didn't have it.
