I stayed there for one night on a business trip. It could have been a Holiday Inn anywhere in the world and was exactly as you would expect, no better or worse. Clean, amenities OK. Quite close to the airport, which was good after getting in on a late flight, but if I was staying there on holiday it would definitely not be here - Bratislava has a lovely old centre, and I would have found a hotel within walking distance of this. But OK for a one night stopover.

even if you're told the hotel is 2 km away from center, do not believe. it is a LONG walk along a terrible main road.
thez say they have a pizzeria in the hotel : NO. Haidresser is always closed. Reception staff knows nothing aboutb their city nor their country. Buy a good guide book if you want to know a bit about that city.
It is not worth spending more than one night in this city.
Do not choose the holiday Inn because it has a pool. You will be sad when you see how it is (and you will only get a hand towel - no large bath towel).
no hot chocolate in the bar - food in the restaurant is very average and service at breakfast is terrible.
The ony positive in that hotel was the comfort of the bed and the quality of the food at breakfast. That is really all.
We lost 3 days of our happy traveller's life !!!!!!!!!!

I stayed four nigths in Holiday Inn Bratislava three weeks ago.The hotel is Ok. the rooms and the bathrooms are big and always very clean. The buffet breakfast is good and the staff are really nice and helpful. The worst point is the location as you have to use public transport to get the city centre and the airport or main stations. The trams n? 9 or 16 takes you to the historic area in about fifteen minutes, but be careful because they don't work late at night !

Typical Holiday Inn - you get what you expect. Easy to find when coming by car from Vienna airport, but it's a little "in the middle of nowhere". Very friendly staff and good indoor pool with small fitness area. Unexcitiing breakfast. Good for a business visit, but you get no "feel" of the surroundings. The only "minus" in the rooms is an asthmatic airconditioner which is located behind the curtains when they're drawn - which is not the greatest when it's 35 degrees outside!
