A Pleasant Surprise
Guest name: 200NitesAYear, Manhattan
I've stayed at several Holiday Inns and sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not so good. This time I was very pleasantly surprised because the property was not the typical plain vanilla hotel this chain is known for. The property is very big. It reminded me of a resort. It has a nice gift shop that's very well stocked. There was a full service restaurant, room service and a newly decorated lounge with an extensive wine/cocktail menu and many big screen TVs. It has an indoor pool that causes some parts of the building to be a bit humid. My room was spacious and clean. The ceilings in the hallway are very low so watch out if you're over 6ft tall. The location is prime. The hotel is on a major strip with many retail outlets, shops and down the street from a mall. Restaurants are within walking distance. Parking is a breeze and free of charge. The service was superb, check-in was easy. Of course, I'm a member of their frequent hotel quest program. Maybe that made a difference. They had a fully equipped business center. This place is modern and updated. A really great experience all around. I would gladly stay again.

The location is very nice and service at the front desk very nice; Elijah was excellent we could not have asked for any one friendlier or more courteous.
As advertised the great view was of a Job Fair for the first two days and an auction on the third day. The Queen Size beds were comfortable but must have been left in the dryer to long because both queen beds appeared to be full size beds. Carpeting in the room was evident that several people have enjoyed their stay here and must have spilled a few drinks or food given the number of stains and the appearance of not being clean.
The lack of forethought when assigning rooms was quit evident when people not associated with our group were assigned rooms next to our hospitality room while we were assigned rooms next to someone else's auction. While your website boast of refrigerators and microwaves giving the illusion all rooms will have one of each we had to personally request a refrigerator. For the time we had to wait for the refrigerator to be delivered we didn't bother about the microwave.
A small table where two or three people could set and go over paperwork or play a game of cards would have been a very nice feature.
The laundry facility was very nice, clean and reasonably priced.
We had three meal choices chicken, prime rib & fish for dinner at our banquet for all of the meals were excellent.

This is a large, meandering hotel on a commercial strip near the Albany airport and about 15 minutes from downtown. The facility is old, and main areas appear dated. Rooms in the main building overlook an interior atrium containing a banquet hall and decent-sized, yet usually crowded, pool. Other rooms are in an adjoining building known as "the tower." My tower room was recently renovated and quite nice in all regards; I don't know about the rooms in the main building. Families would probably do better in the main building, while others would likely prefer the more removed, quieter setting of the tower. Choose your room carefully, and you'll do fine here.

Small rooms, seems like a converted motel. Has a window into the hallway, the curtains are see through so not good for privacy or light. That's my main complaint.

Old Motel passing for a Hotel
Guest name: stevetanyaTexas, Plano, TX
I stayed here for 1 night. I bid $60 on Priceline and got a room here. They put me in the old section of the hotel, which looks like it used to be a Motel that they turned into a Hotel. The room was extremely small, although clean. The carpet looked faded and old, but the rest of the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The room was just too small. The front desk people were professional and polite. 3 minute drive to airport.
