We recently stayed at the Hilton Carillon Park for 3 nights and had a wonderful visit. The location is about half way between the Gulf beaches and Tampa ( we visited Busch Gardens and the excellent Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa ), which was perfect for us since we spent some time in both. The lobby and restaurant areas are lovely with lots of flowers, natural light, and some glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly. Our King Bed room was nice sized and faced east from a high floor so we had a GREAT view from our balcony of a small landscaped lake next to the hotel and further onto Tampa Bay and even the skyline of Tampa in the distance. The lake has a boardwalk around and across it, and we took walks day and night around on it, with pelicans, egrets, anhingas, herons, cormorants, and many other birds, turtles, and fish - even saw a small alligator one day and an armadillo one night. Our booking from the hotel website included a complimentary breakfast buffet, which was excellent. A nice variety of hot dishes, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, frut, and made to order items. The fitness room was nice, and for diehard gym buffs there is a huge full sized gym just across the parking lot in the office park which is available for guests to use if they buy a guest pass. There were no in-room movies available to purchase which seemed odd, but we just went for late walks on the boardwalk and used the fitness room. The business center had several computers available to use for our convenience at no extra charge. Overall, a great stay. Plus parking is free too.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Nice hotel but you will need a car unless you're there for business in the park. If you have a car it's easy and quick to get to many places - Clearwater Beaches, downtowns of Tampa & St. Pete, St. Pete Beach, etc. We had to move from another Hilton in St. Pete b/c of a sellout. Price was good. Pool area is kind of cool. Lots of parking and FREE. Rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the patio, the pool area and a nice large pond with a wooden walkway around the edge. Some rooms have a balcony. The Carillon bells go off every 1/4 hour during daytime. Overall a nice stay.

Attended a conference here and stayed 7 days. The hotel is about 12 minutes from downtown St. Petersburg so it is fairly convenient for tourist activities but you do need a car to take advantage of the area. Staff throughout the hotel were all friendly and anxious to please. Hotel GM was very service-oriented and stopped by to say hello every evening we were in the restaurant or bar. Restaurant and bar food far above average for a hotel chain. Location on the edge of a nature preserve was really nice, and made the balcony side near the preserve a good place for viewing birds and taking pictures.
Suggestion - get that hot tub fixed! It was broken the entire 7 days we were there. Other than that, we thought the hotel was wonderful, and would definitely stay there again.

What a fantastic modern hotel. The hotel is sparkling clean with all the amenities you need. Nice pool and fitness center too. The breakfast bar and lunch buffet was one of the best and at very reasonable prices. Lox on the breakfast buffet! The food presentation was resort quality. If you are booking a group or convention there is plenty of meeting space too. There is a nice nature trail around the hotel on a small lake. I could do without the Carillons ringing all day with christmas music, but I guess that is the charm that some people see in the hotel. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel if you are in the St. Pete/Tampa area. Very close to both airports. Free shuttles if you need them. THE STAFF WAS AMAZING. I am in Tampa for business often and will return. It is very convenient to Tampa even though it is in St. Pete.

My husband and I spent 1 night here back in July while we saw the Red Sox play the Devil Rays at Tropicana Field. The hotel is approx 10-15- miles away from Tropicana so the drive wasn't bad at all.
The room was very nice overlooking a boardwalk and from our balcony we could see the water. The room was very new and clean and we had free internet. There was a fridge and nice flat screen t.v. We didn't experience any problems at all. We didn't stay for breakfast so we can't comment on that.
The hotel is away from the main areas of St. Pete/Tampa. The hotel is tucked into a corporate park with restaurants and shops about a 10 minute drive down the street. We didn't see anything within walking distance. If we get up there for another game, we would stay here again.
