We got this hotel for $41 on priceline before taxes and found it was a perfect getaway for us. They say there is construction but I never noticed any of it. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the room was very nice with all the amenities. It's a newer hotel, built around 2000 or 2001 and they are upgrading all the rooms this summer (plasma tvs, those kinds of things). The lobby is impressive and the gator memorablia they had on display is fun to look at.
Our king size bedroom had a desk, tv, bedside tables, comfy chair, and ottoman. It was roomy and the bathroom was well stocked with supplies.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a U of FL graduation. This is across the street from the University which is very convenient, But be prepared for fellow guests who are there for Gator Football, reunions, etc. That being said we did not hear any noise once in our room. The beds are great - rather small TV's- but I hear they are upgrading. Free wired internet and free hot buffet breakfast for Hilton Gold members. Breakfast was very good - omelet station, lots of fruit, decent selection of pastries, cereals and turkey & lox. Fitness center had free weights, a few treadmills and a crosstrainer as well as a few weight machines. Rooms were kept very clean. Free parking and you are close to a number of shopping centers restaurants. I did not use the outdoor pool but the pool and area were big-to-medium and also kept clean.

I stayed here as part of a road trip because it was pet friendly and I am a Gold member (never recognized as such).
The lobby is nice, clean and pleasant.
The room was OK-- I have noticed that HIltons in general do not have great attention to detail in their rooms. However, the bed was super comfy and the hotel was quiet. The TV is ready for replacement.
The bathroom definitely is ready for a remodel- old fixtures, weak water pressure, dirty grout on the floors.
I think the carpet had just been cleaned because there was a strong chemical smell in the room and the carpet was slightly damp. There was no way to open the window.
Room service was prompt and pleasant. The food was OK.
When I arrived, the front desk was terribly disorganized, taking forever to check people in, and actually acted disappointed that I had a pet, and then caused the people behind me to wait while she rummaged around the mess at her area to find a pet form.
I would probably stay here again though as it had a comfortable bed with quiet rooms.

Stayed here on business and having not stayed here for a couple of years, I was surprised at how it's fallen. Rooms are a little dated, and not quite as clean as they once were, service is iffy. The whole hotel needs a little bit of work.
Breakfast was basically the buffet or a guy bringing you something from the buffet and saying it was from the menu.
Overall, I don't think it's worth it unless you're going to something on site.
