I attended a conference at this hotel and stayed here for 3 nights. The carpeting in the room was very stained, the telephones didn't work and my bathroom was incredibly small. The Conceirge Personnel were very helpful. The front desk clerk seemed bored and bothered when someone asked her a question. The first night was boring as there was a storm in the area and the satellite tv wasn't working.
We ate breakfast at the M & M Cafe and it was very good. We would stay here again as most of the issues were minor.

We stayed at this Hilton in May for a wedding. It was your standard Hilton-- clean rooms, comfy bed, clean bathroom. There was nothing particularly unique and amazing about this hotel, but if you are looking for a solid place to stay for business or a quick trip to Hartford, this is a good pick. It is within walking distance to most of the major attractions in Hartford. Really no complaints about this facility, but nothing amazing to rave about either...

I just returned from a 4 day stay at the Hilton Hartford hotel. I was there for a course and drove from Toronto, Canada.
The hotel check in was easy. They had me in for a one King bed reservation and we switched it with ease into a 2x double bed reservation. I was pleasently surprised.
The rooms were clean and had a nice city view of the town. The washroom layout wasn't the best. The door opened into the space where your legs would be if you were sitting on the toliet. It didn't feel spacious in the washroom, however it was clean. The shower pressure was a little off, but heat was working. I only noticed a difference because I have curly hair and water pressure changes the curles when dried. For anyone else they might not notice the difference. Downfall in the room was there was no safe deposit box. We had passports and made it difficult for us to feel safe leaving it in the room.
We used the jacuzzi and the pool during our stay. The jacuzzi could have been more clean, but we used it either way. The pool is nice with an outdoor view of the sky. Nice touch! The gym had good machines available as well. We didn't use the spa, so I have no comment in that department.
We took food out from the M&M Restaurant one evening. The food was VERY YUMMY, but the service or the time waiting for the food was annoying. We thought take out would be faster than sitting in for dinner and it was practically the same time. The bartendar was sweet, but the food just took toooooo long.
We watched a movie in our room for $11.99. Not bad for an old movie still in theatres.
The location is great for party people. Hens, there were plenty of kids on spring break staying at the hotel. FYI for minors thinking to drink on this hotel, you will get busted. I witnessed many under aged people get caught by the cops that weekend.
We had our course at the CT Convention centre on the other side of town. Luckly for us the hotel has a shuttle to bring to the building or you could just pick up the free Star Shuttle to the centre. On Sunday there was no free shuttle from the hotel nor Star Shuttle, so we walked it. It was about 15 minute walk. If you don't mind walking it is actually a nice walk.
On our last night we choose to extend our stay one more night and they had no problems doing it via a phone call from our room. We just had to go downstairs to reactivate our cards.
On check out day we got a notice about our final bill. They charged us $20/per day more than they orginially negioated with us. I brought it to their attention and they adjusted it right away. Luckly I caught that mistake, but I am happy to see the staff to own up to their mistakes as well.
Parking was fine at the hotel, but they charge you $17.00/per day. Don't forget to get your pink ticket validated before you exit the hotel's parking lot.
In all the hotel was a great choice to stay at. I would go back for sure. Thanks to the amazing staff and their high standards I felt safe and welcomed everyday.

Stayed at this hotel on business. Good downtown location but quiet at night. The one hotel restaurant sufficed and provides room service but I would rather eat at other local establishments. Good fitness facility and indoor pool (but no attendants). Parking garage is adjacent to the hotel lobby, $17 a day at tme of stay. Recently converted Sheraton and it appears that the upgrades were only cosmetic. I was surprised and concerned by a metal plate on the outside of my guestroom door (to prevent break in's)--I would expect such a thing a an exterior-access interstate motel but not at a full service hotel. The rooms are small but have good amenities but the maintenance left much to be desired--not all of the TV stations came in clear, patchy paint jobs, dirty hallway. And, the pipes in the bathroom were noisy all of the time. Housekeeping quality in my room was good.
