Very nice property. Had some updates and looks clean and fresh. Staff was friendly. Food was fare at best. Breakfast is gross. Powdered eggs and cold gravy...Bar in front area closed at 11:00 on a Fridatyand Saturday night even though the hotel was full and there is nothing else with in walking distance.
Concierge suite was closed on Saturday??? I guess diamond members don't deserve anything extra on the weekend.
Bed and rooms were very nice but doors are thin and hallway noise is a problem in the morning hours. House keeping made the bed and replaced towels....thats it. No vacuum, moving items, replacing glasses, restocking shampoo and stuff.

I travel to Memphis a lot for business and always stay in this hotel. The lobby is nice, the staff is VERY nice and the rooms are clean! The beds are very comfortable. No complaints at all for this property.

We left Florida on Saturday, July 5 at 8:30 a.m. After driving 530+ miles we arrived at the Hilton at 6 p.m. We were told there were NO rooms available for at least one hour. No manager was available to talk to as they were busy deal with housekeeping (which was apparently the problem). I tried to use the public restroom to clean up and freshen up and the electric plug did not work at all (attempted to use a curling iron for a little hair help after that many hours in the car). While I was in the bathroom another lady told me that the check-in had been as awful the night before.
My husband was told by the check-in clerk, "we were full last night and are full again tonight. I've never seen that happen". #1 - this is a HOTEL, you should expect that and staff accordingly. #2 - not having a manager ON SITE in the lobby to suffer the wrath of many disgruntled customers was unexceptable.
We left and went and had dinner and when we returned we did have a room. The elevators took forever both that night and in the morning. The room was fine, nice beds and linens. But the bathroom was less than immaculate (dark lines in the grout), the door only closed if you put your entire body against it to latch (my two small children could not latch it at all) and the light on the desk was burnt out (apparently housekeeping doesn't check lightbulbs).
My husband again asked for a manger when we checked in and was told he would be called. At 9:30 p.m. he went BACK to the Lobby and said he'd wait. They sent over the front desk director (who he had spoken with earlier and couldn't do anything) and he stated (again) that he wanted the manager. He finally did get to talk w/this person and we were given complimentary breakfast buffets (which was marginal, runny eggs and luke-warm french toast).
Not impresed and honestly I wouldn't go back.

Great hotel, all around. From the moment we pulled up to the front door, we felt like the staff was **extremely** attentive, very courteous, and responsive to whatever questions or needs that arose. Room was a very clean, comfortable King bedded room. When an issue arose with a slow draining shower/tub, I called down to guest services and the maintenance guy was there within 5 minutes. Room service breakfast was on-time and delicious, with the exception of a sour glass of skim milk (again, they quickly brought us a fresh glass). I don't expect a stay to be perfect every single time - stuff happens - but it's how the staff responds to the 'problems' that makes the impression in my mind. From the front desk, to room service, to the maid, to the maintenance man -- all were extremely courteous. That's what made our stay at the Hilton Memphis enjoyable. This is a top-notch property.

Had a business trip to the Memphis area and tend to stay in the Hilton chain. It's a circular hotel, but the room was very spacious and I wound up on the top floor with an excellent view to the east.
The room and amenities seemed very well maintained and the breakfast buffet was out of sight. Would definitely stay there again.
