Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Room was very spacious and very soundproofed. The room layout was such that when you walk into the suite, you walk into the living room area, which has a pullout sofa and minibar. Then the bathroom is between the living room area and the bedroom area. The bathroom has two doors - one to the bedroom and the other to the living room area. In addition, you can access the bedroom via another door direct from the living room area. It would be perfect for 2 couples sharing or a family with mom and dad getting some privacy.
We were very pleased with everything and everything was clean. Bed linens were nice and crisp and the duvet warm - great for a Winnipeg winter evening.
This hotel is in an industrial area near the airport but is about 5 minutes from Polo Park shopping mall. Parking was plentiful, the hot tub was HOT and the breakfast very good. All in all a great stay.

If you have a car staying here is fine. Downtown is 15 minutes away and a big shopping centre (Polo Park) is about 5 minutes drive. There's no noise from planes.
I had a pool-side room on the second floor. Access was up some stairs but not a problem unless you're really unfit.
The bed was big, there was a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee-maker, hair-dryer, iron and board.
There was sometimes noise from loud people in the pool area but it closes by 11.
The hot tub was nice. There's no water-slide if you're thinking of your kids.
I did not eat at all in the hotel. For one thing it's more expensive and Winnipeg has a number of good restaurants especially if you go for ethnic food.
They have a business area with computers but I did have need to use it.
Factor in a good rate (less than $115 before taxes) by booking early on the Hilton web-site, I was quite satisfied with my stay here.

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are impressive, the staff are fantastic & the location is ideal - close to the airport & downtown. The only negative for us: there is only one restaurant onsite & it is quite elegant/expensive. We would have preferred a coffee shop and/or a causal lounge to relax in the evening.

Stayed here for business the week of Aug 6, 2007. I was seeking a Hilton property in the Northwest corner of Minnesota and had to settle for the Hilton Suites in Winnipeg. This Hilton is somewhat outdated. You can tell they have updated some things in the hotel, but others were forgotten. For example, my bathroom was updated, but I still had a 1970's couch, desk, and chair in the living room area. My room also had a horrible stench to it. The hotel is 100% smoke free, but it seemed that my room had at one point been a smoking room. Pretty gross! I also ordered a pizza and salad from room service for dinner. Probably one of the worst room service meals I have ever had. The good thing is that they did not charge me for it =)
Not sure what advise I can give here if you are a Hilton junkie, there aren't many options in the area.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I booked online thru the hotel's website (which, by the way, included a map and driving directions printed right there on my confirmation - very cool, although I did not need it). A friend and I stayed for 2 nights (Sat/Sun) in early June while in town for a conference. We had a king suite, which had a comfy pull-out sofa in the living room, and an incredibly comfy king bed in the bedroom. (I am convinced that I need a new bed at home now.) Great in-room amenities in the bar area (coffee, tea, mini fridge, even take-out cups with lids and java-jackets for coffee on the go!), but we would have liked more shampoos and toilletries. We used the pool & hot tub, although it was quite a hike from our room. The pool area was nice and clean, lots of towels. The only drawback: we were surrounded by a hockey-team of 13 year old boys who were also staying there, so it was a bit noisy in the pool. Ordered room service. The meals were okay, and the desserts sinful! A modest gratuity is included in the room service bill, and the porters would not take a penny more in cash. (Believe me, I tried!) Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, we had a great stay!
