Hotel had good location right next to convention center.
Even though we had non-smoking room, enough cigarette smoke came through ventilation system from other rooms to bother us most of the night.
Also the pool is TINY, its 3.5" deep and you can reach out and touch the edges on both sides, and Im only 5'6". Its only open from 10am to 10pm. Had to call the desk to get someone to open it at 10:10 in the morning.
This is prob. a good stay if your a smoker and plan on not being at the hotel very much.

This was a good stay.
Front staff was friendly and accomodating.
The room is a typical Hilton. Nice bedding, clean room. The TV is a smaller non-flat screen TV.
Room was very quiet.

Attended conference in this hotel and found the rooms to be comfortable. There was no safe, and some of the non-smoking rooms got mislabeled. The staff changed our rooms once we alerted them, and this is not something we'd hold against the property.
The fitness facility was awful, and was a single converted hotel room with aging equipment. Room service was expensive with below average food quality. It was hard to find quality restaurants within walking distance, and we had to drive to the outskirts of town (or Mountain View) for decent food. Downtown San Jose otherwise seemed pleasant and walkable, and the hotel was very close to the light rail.
In summary, the hotel was comfortable; but lacked amenities one is accustomed to in hotels catering to business travelers, and it was hard to find a decent bite to eat nearby or on site.

Good business hotel but never stay in SJ for pleasure

The hotel itself is nice enough and staff is friendly and helpful. The downside is that downtown San Jose is a desolate pit with zero amenaties (much less night life or a decent restaurant).
Also, I had one rather significant issue: the valet mixed up my rental car with someone else's (apparently we both had Hertz green Imapalas with nav packages). I did notice this until I returned at the airport. If there had been anything important in the other car, I would have been pissed.
Excellent Location and Great Rooms!!!

This is wonderfully situated room in the San Jose core. It is about half a mile from the San Jose Diridon Caltrain station. Wonderfully appointed rooms and within walking distance to anything worthwhile in the San Jose core. Great Stay!!
