My granddaughter and I stay at this hotel for 1 night while picking up my son. The place was so nasty, roaches, burn marks all on bathtub and poop on door frame. I wouldn't stay here if they gave me a free room. Sta away from here.

We arrived July 2, 2004 at midnight at the Comfort Inn in Forrest City, AR. I thought it was a little strange when we got to the window to check in (lobby door was locked due to the time) there was a pictire of a big mosquito that said "Yes we have mosquitos, keep your doors closed!" I knew all the motels were booked in Forrest City due to being a holiday and we had tried to get accomodations elsewhere before we left. Against my better judgment we checked in.
When we got to our room, over the 7 hours we were there, we killed approximately 15-20 mosquitos - we had bites all over us!
Another thing that happened is that we got no sleep hardly at all due to our upstairs neighbors being so loud.
As we got up the next morning to leave, the commode broke, and when we went to check out the clerk stayed on the phone the whole time and did not ask us about our stay.
We were in a hurry to get to our destination so we could not wait. We called customer service and complained but they have been no help at all. They said the problem had been addressed and that is all they could do. We are disputing the charge on our credit card right now to see what can be done.
To sum up my story- Do not stay at this motel!

My husband and I were returning from a trip in the Deep South. Using a guide book, we decided that this Comfort Inn in Forrest City would be a good place to stay the night west of Memphis along Interstate 40.
However, after checking into the hotel with the desk clerk, we went to our room to find it dirty, wallpaper coming loose, and the bedspread with holes in it. Overall, it was an unsatisfactory room. After talking with the desk clerk about the condition of the room, we checked back out of the hotel, called the nearby Hampton Inn desk clerk to find a room; however, he was full for the night. He told us that he has had many complaints about this particular Comfort Inn. We did check into the jointly owned Super 8, which was also not cleaned well. Basically, I think next time we'll keep on driving as this is not a city I would chose to stop overnight in again with these two bad experiences.
