Stayed one night and were upgraded to the "executive floor" which really seemed to be nothing special other than it was on the 15th floor with a great view of the bay. The room was average for a hotel room, clean and functional but nothing that stood out. We did have room service which was prompt and friendly. The check in staff was informative and friendly, as was each employee we ran into. All in all not a bad stay.

Found this hotel by booking on hotwire as it was considered a 3.5 star hotel. Got a really great rate for $88 a night. Rooms were very clean and updated. The beds were very comfortable. After staying one night with such a great rate, I wished I had stayed another night. Never tried the pool, but you could tell it was well kept and I think located on the 3 floor looking out to the bay. Hotel staff very nice and helpful. Gave us directions many of times. There is a parking fee. I would have to say this is definatly a $250 a night hotel. Stayed in room 610 overlooking the bay. Very close to the cruise ship ports. We stayed there to take the ferry to Catalina Island. Only several blocks away.

A bland business hotel, expensive given the facilities provided. Staff not very helpful but rooms are Ok albeit rather drab looking. Typical business hotel, no specific problems, but a very average experience at a high cost.

I stayed at the Hilton for two nights. The room was nice -- a free bottle of water, comfortable bed, HBO, very clean. There were HVAC issues, though -- the hotel overall was very hot for much of my stay, and I had a hard time getting the room cooled off to a comfortable temperature. I had no problem with the hot water, but a lot of the people in my group said they had NONE! Meanwhile, I also heard reports that ironically, the pool was TOO hot. My room overlooked the pool -- it's situated a little strangely, overlooking an intersection. I didn't have a chance to use it, but I heard that in addition to the water being very warm, it's only about three feet deep. Also, any time I passed the front desk there was only one (not particularly friendly) person working it -- and this is a big hotel. So no matter what you needed from the front desk, you had to wait behind someone who was checking in, whatever. Not sure I would stay here again if it were my choice.
