the weekend of June 8 was our fourth stay at this Hilton, and it was a get together with our adult children. The hotel staff were wonderful...they allowed us to check in early, valet and bell people very courteous and helpful. Rooms very clean. The hotel was filled with wedding guests, some of whom decided to have a late night party in our hallway. A call to the front desk resulted in an immediate response from hotel security who very firmly informed the rowdys that the behavior would not be tolerated and one more call would be the "last" call, they would be out. Things quieted down very quickly at that point. The Hilton staff is at all times courteous and respectful. The breakfast buffet is also recommended. We expect to have many stays here.

A very nice hotel, exceptionally helpful staff, excellent business center, very nice bar, and satisfactory breakfast (included in the senior rate we got). The exceptionally clean room was very large and well furnished, with a fancy multi-adjustable chair that could fit just about anyone. Convenient to resturants and the center of town. The only downside was cost, but our stay (2 nights) was on a June weekend in conjunction with a wedding (held elsewhere). The valet parking cost $10. a day extra, and no other option was apparent. All in all, I guess it was worth it.

Just returned from a 1-night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Portsmouth and it's a great place to stay when visiting Portsmouth. It's very new, and the location is steps from all of the action and great restaurants.
My wife and I stayed in a deluxe room with our 3 young kids. Very nice rooms with free internet access. They have a decent fitness room and a small, but very nice indoor pool with separate jacuzzi.
The staff was very friendly and helpful when it came to directing us around Portsmouth. For $200 a night, I'd recommend them to anyone staying in Portsmouth.
We ate at Jump'in Jay's Fish and highly recommend it. A very fun city to be in on a Friday night.

We just returned from a weekend in Portsmouth. We were very pleased with the Hilton. The location is great, we used the valet parking and opted for the breakfast package, which was very good. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

The location of this hotel was excellent. Everything Portsmouth has to offer is within walking distance.
Check in went smoothly and they even upgraded us to a corner suite with double windows from floor to ceiling on two sides. A beautiful view but not if you like to sleep in.
The room was clean and well adorned. It a new hotel so you don't see bruises anywhere. Personally, I enjoy soft linen and lots of pillows but they did lack in this department. Not luxury but adequate.
The pool was small and not very inviting. Basic.
The lobby was fine with 2-3 fireplaces and a lounge with only certain hours. We chose not to eat at the hotel because Portsmouth has eateries thru out the town.
Overall, this hotel fine but is do not expect luxury, great food and lots of services. I would stay here again to due to the location, staff, cleanliness and price.
