WOW...I have stayed at my share of Homewood Suites, but this one is a step above. It is located in a place called the Village of Providence, which is very close to the research where I had to work while in town. It didn't feel like I was in what I knew to be Huntsville. How did I miss this on my last trip? The room was very clean and the staff was great. I ran every morning on this beautiful creekside trail that is part of the development. A big plus is that it is located within walking distance to several great restaurants....I can't name a favorite, because they were all very good. Grille 29 has a potato crusted fish that was to die for. I will be back to this Homewood on my next trip!

I have stayed at this hotel for the last year week at a time and many times months at a time. We lived there with a whole family and last year things were great when previous management was in charge.
It's located in a great area with a great surrounding. The town of Providence has a lot of amenities in walking distance and close to Research Blvd and the base.
The breakfast / cleaning and front desk staff is really friendly and helpful. They have really made staying there a pleasure. However, beginning of this year there was management change with the manager and assistant manager moving to different properties. Since then the Hotel is more focused on managing a budget vs. making it a pleasant place to stay. This caused them to change rates (increase) and lower service. Most long stay individuals have moved because of this and all recommend staying at local hotels such as the Embassy and Fair field inn.

OK, not really, but my family lived here for 2 months. I had high expectations since this is part of the Hilton chain, but this is not a 5 star hotel, it's an extended stay hotel. We had a 2 bedroom suite which was very roomy and comfortable. The rooms were clean, the staff is wonderful and the meals are pretty good. What we really loved was the community. The Providence area is surrounded by great restaurants that area right outside your door. There are doctors, dentist and dry cleaners, also. There's a great walking track across the street that is beautiful and well maintained. It didn't take long to start really feeling like this was home. You get to know the staff by name, they're all really nice. The ladies in the buffet area really go out of their way to keep the area neat and clean. The only complaint I had was housekeeping was a little inconsistent with leaving coffee and other stuff, but the room was always very clean. If you're looking for a romantic or high class hotel, this isn't your choice, but if you're looking for a nice place to stay for a few days or a few months, this place is probably as good as it gets....
